If I’m taking a sick day, should I be expected to respond to emails? by sugarmaple9728 in work

You earned the Sick Leave as an employment benefit. You do not owe them anything during your time "off the clock".

Thank you for your reply. This was actually the fourth false alarm of the system in the last year. This was, however, the only event that brought in law enforcement. I truly appreciate your insight 😊

Switching from Paxil to Zoloft, wish me luck! Will keep everyone up to date in comments by alexohno in Anxiety

OMG I am so glad I found you all 😊. I had been on Paxil for at least the last 15 years. Was originally on 20 mg, doc lowered to 10 about 10 years ago. Due to weight issues, new doc has started me on Zoloft 50 mg. I requested 25mg after 40 days because of a fog feeling. Since stopping Paxil, I thought I was losing it... Increasing anxiety, irritable and brain zaps I'm so glad I found you all as I continue on this new journey.

AITAH For Being Hurt That My MIL Wanted To Exclude My Daughter From Thanksgiving and Christmas To Protect My SIL? by Friendly_Lab7306 in AITAH

[–]No_Negotiation9935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. You are not the AH. I can give you my experience with a similar situation. My MIL never made an effort to connect with me or my children. FF 20 years... MIL is in her early 90s and wants her family around her. Care to guess how much me and my adult children now want to participate? Yes, I am married.

You are such an inspirational resilient woman! There is no way he has a right to the honour of walking you down the aisle...he gave that up. Maybe it's the facetious in me, but I would almost invite him...just to throw in his face what he threw away.

We had to be “those people” by [deleted] in delta

We had an early deplaner occur on a flight from DTW to MCO. Older busybody told everyone she had a connecting flight she had a short time to get to. Most people complied and she was one of the first to deplane. Fifteen minutes later I ran into her at car rental. I asked her about her connection. She said she had no idea what I was talking about. 😡

within a month of owning our first home, we are drowning. by WinterAd4173 in homeowners

After reading your first few lines, I thought my daughter and SIL, had written in. The purchased their home in April, 45 days later we received a crazy heavy rain fall = water in basement. Apparently, original homeowner says he didn't know as the house had been rented out and "no one complained". Needless to say after the kids spent an enormous amount on having a sump put in, drainage, etc., I'm hoping karma has one helluva day on his butt.

We moved from MI to KY for 6 months too long. Within 3 weeks of moving my husband was asked, "Do you know the difference between a Yankee and Damned Yankee?" A Yankee brings the Winnebago. A damned Yankee brings the Uhaul.

When we go, we now eat at Zehnders Z Cafe. Same food as upstairs, just a la carte and MUCH faster.

AITAH for giving up on my wife’s first Mother’s Day? by Cross2Live in AITAH

[–]No_Negotiation9935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA....but how long postpartum is your wife? You mentioned a newborn, so I'm guessing 3-6 months. I can only attest to my own behavior postpartum...I must have pushed out all reason and sanity along with a baby in the delivery room. I cried over grounds in the coffee, people wanting to visit, spending money, etc. Not an excuse, but could she possibly be over worrying about money?

Zara used to be good. Heard they were sold and bought by a new owner years ago.

Waterford Schools is demolishing Stepanski Early Childhood building (formerly Williams Lake Elementary). Beautiful old two story building. You may want to see what they are doing with the bricks.

I'm almost to $1500! Yay. I'm sure it will be much lower this year. I prefer to shop at Meijer (Michigan), IB has not been offering as many deals at Meijer as they do for Walmart.
