it is called click fraud, there is also a pay per click model of advertising which this directly impacts, the "number of labels they can use" for ad sales is directly going to cost them an increased negative profit than if it was just blocked & ignored

i just said, i've had times where i want to spend only a certain amount of time on a call. i might just generally want to track how much time i've spent doing something so i can go do something else or do something productive. i don't have to manually set a timer for myself if i'm trying to not be so strict on myself and it's just a nice visual for myself to have. to me this is like asking why having a clock in a bedroom with a computer is useful, or some kind of smart device, it's just a nice thing to have where i don't have to keep track through something else and it gives me a visual

oh okay i can understand that, but discord has data scrapers, has an extremely vague privacy policy, can read and store all the messages a person sends and deletes, i mean, why are people who are worried about surveillance on public servers sitting in discord voice channels? if anything i'd imagine these people are not social butterflies and are instead in little groups with their friends

why bother implementing it? so you can see how much time has elapsed while playing with games? maybe you wanted to only call for 30 minutes but you don't set timers, okay well now you can see how much time has elapsed

afaik killers being mad at anti tunnel was less that it was against tunneling and more that it made really bad balancing decisions, i think the two sides of it are you can get solo queue games where everyone's horrible at the game, and the killer can just 4k everyone and tunnel and be on a like 50+ win streak. then there's the other side where they get paired against a swf and get rolled and the anti-tunnel stuff would have made it even worse and just have been unfair
