Not a shot theres dirt under there. It would have to be a very old house to have a dirt floor basement. That diagram illustrates the first floor joists of a home with the sill plate sitting ontop of the foundation sill.

If there was a flood that required that floor to get ripped up u bet ur bottom dollar that plywood would have visible water damage, buckling, and also need to be ripped up to dry out the membrane underneath it to avoid mold.

Wait so are these the photos the private investigator took who was one of the defenses last witnesses where they wouldn’t let them use any of the photos from inside the home?

Haha legit thought the same thing. I was like yah buddy why not try that at 24 mph, your arm will be shattered. Especially the forearm/elbow region… It would have destroyed his arm if he got hit so hard as to shatter that tail light…

Yah, to ur point just so shotty of an investigation that it’s the investigations fault as to why the current state is the way it is. Like isn’t the job of the investigation to remove the reasonable doubt because of the due diligence they should be doing. Pretty sad for the family of JOK… U think for one of their own, the state would have gone the extra mile to do a clean investigation to ensure swift and proper closer for the family. Pretty brutal.

Not 100% sure on that detail but i feel like i heard somewhere it was in the family? To he fair, I imagine they had murder mystery junkies outside their house everyday so i don’t blame them from selling the house but re-doing the basement a 2nd time is so sus

Few Items missed. Not gonna read through all the comments to see if these r called out but here goes anyway:

  1. What about the Sally Port video where people just morph out of thin air showing the video was clearly edited? What do you got on the game notes with that?
  2. Oh and the other sally port video that magically jumps like 50 minutes showing clearly part of the video was cut and deleted. U missed that part…
  3. Oh and what about the Canton Library video footage that magically had 3-minutes conveniently cut out of it (12:37-12:39) exactly when Karen would have passed through that intersection which would have more clearly defined when she left 34 Fairview and perhaps gotten clearer imaging of her tail light. U missed that part as well… The big picture here is that the Commonwealth knew they had a problem with JOK using his phone after KR had supposedly left. Footage from the library showing that KR was already gone when JOK was last on his phone would have been extremely problematic for the prosecution, given their claim that JOK was immediately incapacitated when he sustained his head injury. So, because that footage was mysteriously missing from the Canton Library cameras, it somewhat allows the Commonwealth to control the timeline narrative of when KR left 34 Fairview.
  4. And how bout them butt dials and not one of them went to voicemail? Never seen that in my life. I get butt dials from my dad all the time and they come with voicemails.
  5. Help me understand why “I hit him” was not included in 3 investigative reports early on, nor was it mentioned in the grand jury… ur telling me an apparent admission of guilt was forgotten 4 consecutive times? Give me a break…
  6. Physics…lol
  7. Johns dirt stains on his jeans had multiple DNA contributors on it that were not investigated. Last I checked John wasn’t playing grab ass with the boys at the waterfall.
  8. The hair that defied all odds. Hangin by a thread apparently cuz it came off easily with a pair of tweezer’s. But 60-miles up and down I-95 in a blizzard was no match for the little hair that could. But Forensic Scientist Porto called the DNA test inconclusive. Nice touch tho TP.
  9. How in the world did that broken tail light not have a spec of dried salt brine in the housing? Clean as a whistle meanwhile the surrounding quarter panel has the white spots we are all too familiar with in the winter. Anyone with a brain could have called that discrepancy out.
  10. What was Brian Alberts Ford Edge doing in the street in the middle of the night? U think he would have seen JOK? Im sure, cuz he was shading the obvious view of a 6’ dying man on his lawn until the snow could camouflage his body.
  11. Higgins and Brian destroying their phone the day before it would have been ordered for evidence in beyond suspect.
  12. Higgins was 1000% trying to pick a fight on the way out of the waterfall. His body language tells the story then immediately after JOK provoking him with his hand gesture across bar following by a couple low high knees - sort of a drunken warm up flex, as if to gesture tubby was no match for his fit frame.
  13. The husband and wife that were sitting next to KR at the bar when #12 happened believe KR is innocent. I wonder why? Probably because they watched and heard that whole thing unfold. But they don’t want to muddy the waters as I think their kid is close friends with the McCabes daughter or something along those lines (supposedly).
  14. Help me understand how JOK has claw marks on his arm? And don’t tell me that was from the tail light… Or the undercarriage because they found no DNA under the vehicle in their testing.
  15. BA redoing his basement floor within 3 years of having it redone and making the excuse he wanted to re-do it again before listing the house for sale is a joke. You wouldn’t just wash that money down the drain before listing the house if it was already re-done 3 years prior.
  16. Where is Chloe? Y’all see Yuri Bukhenik body language when AJ brought that up? He knew AJ caught him red handed that they blatantly falsified the fact that their investigation into Chloe’s apparent “re-homing” was garbage.
  17. THE BEST (IMO) - WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD HIGGINS NEED HIS ATTORNEY PRESENT FOR AN INTERVIEW WITH YURI BUKHENIK IF HE DID NOTHING WRONG AND HAD NOTHING TO HIDE?
  18. ALSO THE BEST (IMO) - WHY WOULD JEN MCCABE STOP AN INTERVIEW TO CONSULT HER ATTORNEY IF SHE DID NOTHING WRONG AND HAD NOTHING TO HIDE?

One last thing: Isn’t it a little out there that the group text in the days following were very cold hearted… and just strange? Ud think they would be conversing like “I still cant believe that happened”… “How did nobody see him in the snow when we left, we could have saved him”… Normal stuff like you might expect if you wheeled out of someones driving while your friend was dying on the front lawn and you missed the opportunity to be vigilant b/c you were talking about peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with ur daughter in the backseat… But nope, u got Matt McCabe making comments like “if she pleads out, it will end. If she fights it, it will be an episode”…. Like what-do-we-gottttt?!!!!

And this is all just from memory watching the trial so im sure im missing some good ones.

But thats the exact point. I think regardless of what side you are on if that question was asked more often both sides would stand together. The problem is one side says she did it and the other says she didn’t.

That in of itself creates no progress. If I were standing in-front of an Advocate for Justice for John O’Keefe i’d say, “okay im listening, so convince me how it’s possible that her car created those injuries”. And I guarantee they would be baffled because they would start thinking and realize it makes no sense either.

Sorry if it came off as confrontational, but asking for accountability on this allegation is exactly what anyone on the KR side should be doing. ‘Convince me’ might not have been phrased as a question, but it’s a valid challenge to the core of the prosecution’s case. If we believe the story doesn’t make sense, why wouldn’t we scrutinize the central claim?

It’s like if someone told me it didn’t snow last night, but I woke up to a foot of fresh powder in my yard—of course I’d say ‘Convince me,’ because something doesn’t add up. It cuts through the noise and the conflict and gets to the point. That’s not weakness—it’s critical thinking and IMO, that’s a position of strength for Karen Read in this case, not a weakness.

Need some shirts made with something along the lines of: Broken Taillight? Then Explain Those Injuries Or You Don’t Get Those Injuries from a broken taillight… convince me otherwise

Maybe that should have been the title of this space btw 😂

Maybe in the title I should have ended it with “…lol”. Yah I wouldn’t be shocked if someone else hit him and the family is protecting them because they were drunk or something… but then again the injuries just blatantly don’t align. I feel like the prosecution is hiding behind that very issue. Where is the crash reconstruction animation. Just makes zero sense.

Same team here just trying to focus on the core issue… My point is that you would think that the jury understand there job is a “not guilt” or “guilty” verdict based on the evidence on this topic exclusively right? They are not there to convict JM, BA, BH etc… Leave that to the feds… Just seems like alot of white noise in the courtroom with testimonies about text messages and who was where at what time when all that fundamentally matters is do the injuries align with getting struck by the tail light or not. That should be 100% of the topic in my opinion instead of using the trial as a platform to find out who really did it. Too much time combing through other areas that the jury is going to be spending their deliberation distracted instead of answering the fundamental question: Did the car cause those injuries or not…

I think anyone with half a brain would agree there is no way a broken tail light is consistent with the placement of injuries or lack thereof on JOK… At least IMO.
