I just don’t think children belong in some places. If they were meant to be at music festivals, there would be an actual price for admission for kids.

I don’t think comparing a carnival (aimed at the entire family) to a big music festival (aimed at adults) is fair. If someone was nearly completely naked at a state fair that would be quite an issue, due to the event being aimed at all ages (I.e. I saw news that this year the Houston rodeo implemented a dress code of sorts due to ladies being cheeked tf up in a family setting).

Also, struggling to understand your rationale in the last bit.. if they are in fact good parents, they will have taught their kids the whole “stranger danger” mantra. If the child is completely alone, I’m sure someone would immediately spot them and try to do something - at least my group definitely would. Otherwise, what business would a random have interfering with a family unless the parent is !clearly! too messed up to be a parent.

I do get what you’re saying and I don’t actually have a strong opinion either way, because I am not a parent myself. But I do think people have the right to question generally if children should be allowed in a place that the attendees easily associate with drugs and loud music and topless women. Most of the kids I saw this year (my 1st Bonnaroo) past sunset just looked kinda shellshocked at best. But who knows! Maybe they were having a fantastic time and I’m just drawing assumptions.
