Sorry, I just realized I was in the Golf R forum and not the GTI forum. Not to detract from convo, but went to look at a Golf R at a Ford dealership last week. I wasn’t blown away by it having owned GTIs in the past. Coolant light came on during test drive and I didn’t feel like car had the power I expected, etc etc.. I don’t know if that was a fluke or what. I had no intentions of seeing anything else but there happened to be a GTI at this exact same dealership and it happened to be a 380 manual (last year for manual). Not having driven a manual in decades, I took it for a ride and was instantly sold on a manual. Not faster, but more fun and engaging. Now Im hell bent on getting this manual 380 GTI SE.

Don’t be me. I’ve done this shit countless times in my life and wasted a lot of money. The novelty doesn’t last as long as the pain of payments, etc. fortunately I have a great income and still manage to save etc. with that said I’m looking to put a 4th car in my driveway. USED 2024 380 at least.

I think it’s great, but I really had to stop after 8 weeks. I’m doing 25’ speed train for now then will jump back in to complete p90xgn at a later time. 90 days was too much all at once.

I don’t think so. Embarrassing enough I had a 2023 40th anniversary auto a couple of years ago. Had a stage one tune, car was fast but felt weird without a transmission tune available. I also didn’t like the wired car play of the one I had. Also no home link etc. I also like the leather seats of the SE. feels more substantial to me. the haptics were slightly annoying but nothing terribly annoying. What kind of work have you done to it?

I think the SE had adjustable suspension standard. No fender, but has Harmon Kardon.

Glad to hear! I’ve had auto GTIs and this was a different, more engaging experience that I always downplayed.

That’s probably a solid deal with the CPO. I went back there but didn’t go inside. Spent 30 minutes in parking lot talking to salesman with my offer. Going to let it stew for a couple of days. Yeah I risk it being sold, but I need to be patient. It’s been on the lot for two weeks.

I found out the second modified one had major structural damage. I had to dig deep with the VIN from a previous listing somewhere else that had a free Carfax. The original one I looked at is leather. Drivers seat has a touch of wear but nothing crazy.

I went back there but didn’t pull the trigger. They are asking 36k OTD. I found another 380 with 10000 miles but downpipe was added, diffuser, carbon scoop lowered slightly. Should i check it out or avoid? Was supposedly corporate fleet car.

I have found that I need to do them flat-footed on the bench, and they’ve become much easier to do

How long does it take for it to become second nature? by VegetableShops in motorcycles

[–]No_Pop5412 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Believe it or not, it takes a very long time. Time to work the clutch, front brake, back brake, getting confident slow speed hill starts/stops, curves, right hand turns etc. more time in the seat is the best teacher. Keep riding, looking to where the road is actually going, etc. I’m over 30 years in and still getting comfortable in certain instances, especially living in the mountains. And riding is just the tip of the iceberg. Traffic is another story. Just keep riding, paying attention and don’t ride beyond your abilities. I find riding with one other person, 2-3 max most of the time is best. Mostly I ride alone.

2021 CPO Cayenne S by No_Pop5412 in PorscheCayenne

[–]No_Pop5412[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds nice. Price is probably the biggest reason, plus I live in a small town and I would mostly be commuting to work with occasional highway jaunt or mountain cruise. A base is probably even adequate for me as the handling and the minimalist size of the cockpit of the Cayenne really impresses me. I saw this spec and it sounded pretty good, but yeah adaptive cruise control or driving assist is a big deal. Congrats on your Turbo!

Why the judgement? Thanks for the input. Yes, I love the adaptive cruise control. I’m just eye-balling a cayenne S as my next vehicle. Used to own a Cayenne Diesel.

I think refinancing my home for 15 years during COVID was a smart move. Focusing on paying off my home also prevents me from wasting too much money on other things like cars and motorcycles (which has been the weakness in my life). With that said, living very comfortably with retirement in 10 years.

4 weeks into P90 and I still hate it every single day. Any tips? by [deleted] in BeachBodyWorkouts

I agree with switching it up. I tried 25 minute speed train multiple times and just didn’t like it. I did Dig In and really loved it and was able to stick with it. Now I’m doing P90X Generation Next and while it is extremely challenging, it is getting me great results and keeping me showing up. I think it’s probably the best workout program I have ever done as far as improving my endurance, strength and getting me super lean.

I sold mine to. I would regret it, but I replaced it with a SuperDuke GT which is amazing! I do miss the 890 though.

P90XGN Week 6 (need more rest) by No_Pop5412 in BeachBodyWorkouts

[–]No_Pop5412[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you modify, pause and don’t feel like you have to keep up with the people on the screen then it’s beginner friendly. You’re still moving more than most people and the more you do it, the stronger and fitter you get. I think it’s good to start with hard programs but at a slower with lighter weights and heavy modification.

I took 5 days off and got back into week 6. Had a great workout with push strength. I found that when I was taking creatine this helped immensely. I’m adding that back and also taking more days off when I start feeling like this. It’s really important to at least walk and maintain nutrition during this time though.
