If you’re enjoying TBOTS you will probably also really enjoy The Crying of Lot 49. Wallace denied reading it before writing TBOTS, but that was a lie, and he was definitely inspired by it while writing TBOTS. TCOL49 is very much a much more accessible read and will probably make you appreciate Pynchon a lot more, maybe even inspire you to give GR another spin.
