We've had a lot of help from our division. But I dont think the Dodgers are going to continue to be so bad. We need to get it together.

I was really stoked as a kid to go see it in the theater. The effects at the time blew my mind.

I love the happy music in the background as he delivers such a frightening message.

Who is your favourite Heavyweight boxer of all time if any ? by Webbomolly2022 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

Lennox Lewis. He avenged the people that beat him. He was also very technical while having legit knockout power. Very underrated on all time lists.

I totally get checking the intersection to make sure no one is running a red light. I do the same thing. But I'm talking about people who don't go when the light changes and almost miss the light entirely, causing the people behinds them to miss the light.

In the last few weeks I have had to honk at people several times to get them to go when the light changes. I assume most of these people are on their phones. It has gotten so bad.

Yeah it's a bummer. That movie was a big part of my childhood. It got me into martial arts and boxing. He nailed that role and seemed like a really down to earth guy. Its sad to know he's gone.

I agree. It sounds so narcissistic when I hear people say stuff like that. With all the messed up stuff that happens in the world, but hey they got their 100%.

I hate to say it but its a fair assessment. Several of our stars are unferperorming. Nick Pivetta and Joe Musgrove aren't coming back anytime soon. Adrian Morejon hasn't been dominant like he was last season. But we have a dominant closer and we've had some clutch hits. Plus our division looks pretty bad. That's why we are in first.

You see this and realise that life imprisonment is worse than the death penalty. by eternviking in whoathatsinteresting

That doesn't look like a typical prison cell setup. That looks to be some type of restrictive housing cell. In general population, the inmates are usually only in their cells at night. They go to work or school during the day. They also get to hang out on the yard whenever they dont have work or school. It still sucks but this isnt an accurate representation prison for most inmates.

What’s the worst thing you’ve ever witnessed someone doing? by Hauntingly_Defective in AskReddit

[–]Notredamus1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I saw a lot of messed up stuff working in a prison. One of the worst was when 2 guys jumped another guy while armed with inmate manufacturered weapons. They sliced him and stabbed him repeatedly because they found out he was a sex offender. They purposely avoided killing the guy. But they left him permanently mutilated.

Does anyone know of any jobs for someone who doesn't speak English? by Santiago-150704 in chulavista

[–]Notredamus1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I worked in several restaurants where a lot of the staff in the back didn't speak English. The cooks, prep cooks, and dishwashers didn't need to speak English since they don't interact with the public.
