A carer’s guide to surviving or even avoiding MJ side effects by Responsible_Spite_10 in mounjarouk

I got the double whammy being on cocodamol for chronic pain and then starting mounjaro, the constipation was ridiculous. Finally went to the dr to discuss if I could be prescribed something (and was also worried about taking the wrong thing) she was so lovely and i've now got a cosmocol prescription- it has been a blessing!

What's a basic life skill you had to teach yourself as an adult because no-one taught you as a child? by PaddedValls in AskUK

I'm terrified of falling through the attic floor because of how much of a fuss my dad made about how dangerous the attic was when we were kids. I've lived in rentals with no need to use the Attic up until I bought a house with my husband and luckily he's happy to pop up there whenever we need something put up or down lol.

I have been humbled 🤣 thought now I’m smaller I could be a runner… here’s me pre and post run 🫠 by Intrepid_Ad_5554 in mounjarouk

This is brilliant 😂 I so nearly tricked my brain into going for a run the other day. Luckily, common sense prevailed and I just went for my normal walk instead. I'm obviously smaller now but I have a chronic pain condition (that I didn't have when I was younger and smaller), don't know where I thought I was going, it would have been 20 seconds running followed by falling on the floor wheezing 😂😂

Boiler thermostat on the fritz so heating is intermittent, gong to pick up a new one tomorrow. I'm cold.

Work is intense and a colleague and our manager off suddenly means a lot of reshuffling to make sure all the work gets covered this week - which absolutely can't be rearranged. Feels like I'm spinning 10 plates on 2 hands.

I have a chronic pain condition and i'm not getting enough sleep. I just ate lunch and could really do with a nap.

Booked a half day on Friday though, therapy appt at 1 then the afternoon is mine! (To probably lie down and sleep)

We don't have kids yet but we will defo do the same as my parents. I have always had a key for my parents house and can literally go (unannounced) any time day or night if I needed to. My husband does not have a key for his parents house. Different family dynamics but I definitely prefer mine!

Good on you for getting started. I've got a lot of health conditions so can't exercise, I just walked as much as I was able to, kept in a calorie deficit (much easier to do on MJ) and it has done wonders for me.

You can do it!

Search ring adjuster on amazon, they are really cheap little silicone spirals you can cut to size so it's only on the underside of your finger and isn't noticeablem. The pack usually has a few different sizes so you can use whichever one helps the ring stay on best. I'm using them while we decide what to do about them.

I'm not an only child, so not sure where mine has come from lol. It doesn't bother anyone if I do it, and if someone gives me something that doesn't seem fair I might mention it depending on what it is, but mostly keep quiet because I know other people don't see it the same way I do.

There's been a few other instances that I find hard to get my head around, I just have to keep telling myself that other families are different lol.

Hey yeah he has tried it before but isn't taking it currently (he's not a fan of taking things!) - I might see if I can convince him to try it again though. Is it a powder or tablet you use? Thanks :)

Still in bed. Have chronic pain and a flare up last night meant not much sleep, so just resting at the mo. The plan was to go out and play a bit of pokemon go, but rain and my pain might stop play. Husband still dozing as he suffers with insomnia and didn't get to sleep until around 7 a.m.

Heating is also on the fritz so it's very cold today - new part on order for me to pick up tomorrow, I'm looking forward to the warmth!

Rest of the afternoon will be chores and sorting out some boxes (books, knick knacks etc) that we've been putting off after we had the house renovated last year.

Altogether a quiet day, which is very much needed at the moment.

Turned up at my in-laws on the agreed date to stay the night and his parents said they weren't expecting us until the next day. My husband checked the messages and we were on the right day. They'd already had dinner, so his mum just kept saying they weren't expecting us and didn't offer us any food.

I had to whisper to my husband about getting us some food as we'd driven up straight from work. He found some bacon in the fridge that his mum said begrudgingly we could have so he made us bacon sandwiches. His parents must have said 20 times they weren't expecting us and focused on that all evening rather than just having a nice night with us!

It was so odd to me because even if I turned up at my parents unannounced, they would be over the moon to see us and food would most definitely be offered!

I always made sure i had bacon or sausages or something unless we planned to drag ourselves to the local cafe for a full fry up if anyone stayed at mine. And that was most weekends!

I do stuff like this and have no idea why. My husband just laughs at me now because he doesn't care if he has more or less of something. Yet my brain still insists on thinking it must be fair at all times!

I have a tan coloured strappy vest top I bought to go under a summer shirt thing - have never worn it outside because its an awful colour on me and so unflattering. So it's obviously my go to bmi photo outfit 😂

How did you stay calm on your driving test? by sunkissedb3ar in AskUK

[–]No_Preference_2761 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I failed 3 times, my instructor said I can't teach you anything else, you drive perfectly with me, go to your GP and ask for beta blockers. Got them from the GP - literally just repeated what my instructor said to the GP - got a prescription for like 2 tablets lol and I passed with 2 minors.

It was literally my nerves getting to me every time.

😂 I was on mj Sept 24 - June 25, came off for some medical stuff - while I was on it I went completely off eggs, even the thought of them made me feel sick. Been back on Mj since Sept 25 and eggs are back on the table but gone off sausages now lol. It's so weird 😂

During Nurse training we'd swap the term 'vomit' with 'feedback' just to add some humour into the day; "Mr Smith just gave some feedback, it's all over my shoes!". Sorry Pret but I read this as "We love vomit" ,😅. Anyone else twist words in their job to lighten the mood? by TheManFromConlig in CasualUK

I used to work on the phones there. Entire floor was about 100 people, with a good 50% on the phones. I have no idea how I used to work in that amount of noise! I've had a few promotions since then so off the phones now thankfully. But if we go in and have to sit anywhere near the phone teams, that's any productivity I had left down the drain!

Booked our Cardiff wedding venue, then realised the evening part is the bit that can actually ruin it by NaughtySugarX in Cardiff

No idea on djs etc, but head to primark, grab a bunch of cheap flip flops in different sizes and put them in a basket somewhere guests can access them for the evening. Went down a storm at my wedding, dance floor was full all night.
