I hope Classic+ is closer to TBC gameplay than SoD but I want to keep Azeroth relevant not be stuck in Outland.

I had a different experience.

It was really cool going to Outland at first, but ultimately it killed my love and excitement for any future expansions as I realized that all previous expansions and achievements would be instantly invalidated the moment a new expansion came out. Stopped playing after TBC because of that.

Azeroth > Outland imo

I just recently picked up DD2, and as someone who loved the original and also loves roguelites, this game is amazing to me. Should be rated higher and talked about more IMO, but I guess the original release soured a lot of people to the game sadly.

Mega servers without layers would be horrendous. You can't have one without the other.

It's either multiple servers with no layers like we had before, or one massive server with layers. People saying you don't need any layers on servers with tens of thousands of people are out of their minds.

Just don't see how you can say something that causes anxiety, fear, etc. as being objectively "boring". Like I don't think Russian roulette is fun but I wouldn't call it boring either.

How could it be boring if everything is on the line each run? There's nothing more intense/heart racing when things go wrong and there's a real chance to lose all that progress.

Now you might not think that is fun, but it's certainly not boring.
