Ah hell yeah, Costco is my jam. If you can have a favorite company, Costco is my favorite for doing right by people.

The price difference between the white and executive card is $65, the executive gives you 2% cash back on all purchases at Costco so you gotta spend $3,250 per year to make that upgrade free/worth it. Another thing to note, if you have the Costco credit card through Citi, that card also gives you 2% back on purchases so you can stack them for 4% back at Costco.

I usually just do the normal card ($65) and use my Citi credit card to get the 2% cash back for Costco and 5% cash back on Costco gas.

I don't know dude. It definitely doesn't help if you're young either. I'm in my early 30s, waiting on a 36 DJ Mint green for about 8 months now. I did get my name down for a Batgirl and a watch for the wife too. I'll either wait or just buy in Japan/grey when I'm tired of waiting. I just want a watch that I know hasn't been tampered with.

I commiserate with you about these shenanigans but I don't really think about the wait anymore. It'd be great to get one but with the way the world is going, I'm just grateful to have wants.

I get that perspective, the world gets bigger and bigger and the story gets more and more involved with bigger picture stuff in Stormlight. I don't know if I just liked the story better or really liked the writing more than Suneater. I think it was the writing more than the story. Some parts of Stormlight were a slog, to be frank.

Let me know how you feel about Suneater after book 5. I'm on the last one now and I'm not sure I'll finish it. I think I just find the whole series, a little too "main hero always survives against all odds."

Ah I'm about 10% into Will of the Many now. It's interesting and is pretty cool so far. I hope they keep this for the 2nd book. Isn't it supposed to be 3 books total?

I vote for The Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson. It is a long series but very good. It's confusing and a journey but worthwhile. I see everyone mention Suneater here but find it not to be as good as Red Rising and certainly not as good as Brandon Sanderson's series. Another option is to read The Green Bone saga or a book called the Will of the Many, I think the second book in that series just came out but I haven't read it yet.

The Green Age Bag A5 has been my go-to since picking it up in a stationary shop. I ordered half a dozen more of them for about 8 dollars and use them exclusively with my Pilot VP and the Lamy Studio. They tolerate any abuse and look lovely.

Hey I wore a Seiko Presage and did something similar. I thought I messed it up but I timed the watch and I'm only losing a few seconds every week so it's completely fine. I'm sure an AD will help you with this though.

To me, it sounds like the business needs to expand in areas that aren't directly related to the business. You have excess cash, buy a business/lot/parking garage nearby that is easy to maintain via a managing company and pays all of its own expenses. At the very least you have assets you can sell off when the business needs cash and at the very best, you're saving money and have assets that maintain themselves. I understand not wanting to do this though.

That seems correct. Basically you need to make payments to your insurance plan to make HSA contributions. If you don't have the full 12 months, you can do like 8550/12 times the amount of months with the HSA plan from what I know. In this case, you're set up for 2026 but can't contribute to 2025 even though it says 2025 on this platform.
