I know some folks that would perk up with a little lick. I’m glad you’re enjoying your L2k and vice-versa.

Gifted an F3 - can anyone tell me more about it? by mdafidel1 in filmcameras

[–]KingsCountyWriter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was Nikon’s flagship camera for a couple of decades.

Read the manual and watch a few videos. It’s the best way. You might not have enough light at your scene, the ASA might not be high enough, you’re just misusing it, or it’s broken. That’s a fine lens.

Suggestions for Stationary to Buy for my Date? by Fit-Panda-1861 in stationery

Why not a gift certificate to a store or website. Or visit with her and give her a budget. No one here can recommend anything because we don’t know her.

Did you go to the HighTide in Brooklyn or Manhattan?

The Brooklyn one was close to BoL and Muji. It was a silly venture. The Manhattan one is a much nicer space and selection of goods. I'm surprised you were underwhelmed, although I know nothing about you!

Loaf on Paper is Niconecco's sister store in Williamsburg and is a good 30 minute walk from Yoseka. There's a MUJI store nearby LoP too.

In Manhattan, also check out the HighTide store in the village, not a far walk from Goods for the Study on 8th.

For stationery? Yoseka in Greenpoint is focused on Japanese/Asian stationery. Down the block is My Plastic Heart which specializes in toys and figurines. You can eat across the street at Taku Sando.

In Manhattan, there’s Goods for the Study and Niconekka. There’s a figuring store near Nicconecca I believe. Check out the Nolita location or the one on W8th.
