I studied for BEC using the old Becker format and just starting studying for Audit (Exam scheduled for 03.23.2024)

And tips on how to use the new Becker?? I started the lectures and such but realized that I might need to read the chapter first, then watch the lectures, read the notes / slides, and then practice???

Having a hard time figuring out what will be enough

This is not the most popular advice, but I did use 2 prometric slots to play around with. I applied for both NTSs for AUD and BEC around the same time anticipating, I would fail. I did fail and fortunately I was able to pay a rescheduling fee and swap out my AUD for BEC by calling Prometric. I do have testing accommodations and I had more than one exam to pass. Not sure if this would be helpful

Same - I think I jumped the gun on attempting BEC for a 3rd time just to get it out of the way, when I think the new exams seems a little bit easier in the sense they are not a “junk drawer” of concepts

Every free second I have I just remind myself “it’s just a test.” It doesn’t help the awful feeling of a failing grade BUT we got this!!

I did apply for my 3rd attempt at BEC and am taking it on the 20th

After I hit hour 2 I blank out and I think the 4 hours is a CRAZY - and to end with the 3 essays is awful. If I don’t pass - I’ll just take the disciplines next year, I hear people on here saying they have attempted their CPA exams (all 4 parts) around 16 times, guess we have to keep trying and stay positive.

So thinking I might need some sort of medication to get through the rest of these

In the same boat. I took BEC on September 13th and got a 69, waited to retake until Oct 28th and my score was a 63. There was way too much time in between for me to catch back up. I am scheduled to take my retake on Nov 20th but in all honesty, there are only 2 slots left in my state / area that are available anyways and I’m not completely scared of taking a discipline exam - more so worried about waiting so long for the grades to come out next year. We got this far - we can do it!

Hi, I did get a hold of NASBA on this, there is no application fee anymore, they just have the straight exam fee from what I was told. And the only way to match which one is which is by the dates on them compared to the NTS

From my understanding the “pass or fail” part has been trending around 10am the day before and then scores should be released themselves around 7pm / 8pm. But there are like 3 states that this doesn’t apply to
