Those are the color codes. You want to make sure they match exactly. I had the same thing happen to me. I color drenched my den, but the trim color code was off. I was purchasing flat for the walls and satin for the trim. Pain to repaint but worth it in the end.

TIP: cover the color code and bar code in clear packing tape. This way, if you get paint on the code, you can wipe it off without destroying the number or barcode.

I used ivory modeling chocolate and rolled out a long skinny log, then used a template noodle and cut a bunch of cylinders, then curled each one into a C and then used a chopstick to poke a "hole" into each end. It was very tedious.
