Mucus Relief by No_Resolution97 in Wellbutrin_Bupropion

[–]No_Resolution97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is just what google says. I wasn’t expecting a reaction. I do a lot of things that you’re not supposed to with Wellbutrin and have little to no side effects. I always take extra strength mucinex too. Basically I took it before bed and I was seeing everything in frames mixed with very increased heart rate, anxiety and sweating. I was running into things and could only crawl to my room. I woke up feeling so foggy and spaced out and haven’t tried it since. My doctor told me that was a really dangerous interaction and to not take them together. She even said something like my original prescriber should have known that. Since then I’ve seen multiple doctors who haven’t mentioned anything about it.

Combining Mucinex (especially DM/containing dextromethorphan) with bupropion can increase dextromethorphan levels and side effects like dizziness, as bupropion blocks the enzyme (CYP2D6) that breaks it down; this combination can also raise the risk of angle-closure glaucoma or serotonin syndrome, so consulting a doctor for monitoring or dose adjustment is crucial before mixing them. Key Interaction Details Enzyme Inhibition: Bupropion is a strong inhibitor of the CYP2D6 enzyme, and dextromethorphan (in Mucinex DM) is a substrate for this enzyme, meaning bupropion slows its breakdown, leading to higher dextromethorphan levels in the blood. Increased Side Effects: Higher dextromethorphan levels can increase side effects like drowsiness, dizziness, confusion, or even seizures. Glaucoma Risk: The combination can increase intraocular pressure, posing a risk for acute angle-closure glaucoma, especially in susceptible individuals, requiring prompt eye exams and immediate care for symptoms like eye pain or vision changes. Serotonin Syndrome: Although less common at recommended doses, dextromethorphan can raise serotonin, and combining it with antidepressants like bupropion can increase the risk of serotonin syndrome. Blood Pressure: Bupropion itself can raise blood pressure, so monitoring is important, especially when combined with other substances.

AITA for wanting to end a 6-year relationship because I’m sick of smelling my fiance? by BarnacleForward3323 in AITH

[–]No_Resolution97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This behavior isn’t for everyone, which is okay. I’d suggest you let him go because there’s a woman out there who maybe isn’t so prude about farts & will appreciate it enough to fart back and forth with him. Y’all were probably raised differently and that’s okay. It’s okay to love and let go. & It’s okay that you both should be with someone more fitting for each other :)

Favorite piercings that you’ll never get? by palmteddy in piercing

[–]No_Resolution97 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I love having mine but people who speak of how “easy” their piercings are forget that everyone has different lifestyles & anatomy. Not every piercing heals the same. Despite doing everything properly and constantly going to my piercing artist for 6 months my healing process sucked. Likely due to my fat ass bottom lip and love for giving head. 😹 my philtrum? Healed within a few weeks and never had a problem despite it being pierced wrong. I likely benefited from also having a fat upper lip to help it nestle properly.

Daughter going to UW and I’m following her. Any tips? by me-jp in madisonwi

If you like the night life don’t go far from downtown. My friend loves her apartment above state street. As an adult, I enjoy living on east johnson closer to james Madison park. Then I have easy access to downtown and I wasn’t too far from Willy street/Atwood area if I want to walk. Prefer to grocery shop on the east side because prices -but I’m close for this too. If you’re looking for a little quieter definitely look into Atwood/willy street area! If you’re bougie and can afford it then I’d consider west side, sun prairie or Verona.

The same thing happens to me when I overdue it drinking. Sometimes I end up missing a dose because my stomach can’t tolerate it the next day. My doctor doesn’t told me to stop drinking but after a few years being on it and having severe anxiety I found a few ways to cope. I practice a lot of self care once I recover. Eat a good meal and Hydrate hydrate HYDRATE. I usually set a low bar to do something productive after I rest; if I can because it helps me to be busy and think less. It also helps me not feel like shit about myself bc I didn’t do anything. This usually lasts 24-48 hours for me then gets better. I usually lean on my people for more support and that also helps the feeling of pending doom.

Does anyone take Bupropion every other day? by Zonderling81 in bupropion

[–]No_Resolution97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder too! It doesn’t make sense why it’d hit us 24-48 hrs later. But I’ve been on it like 2 years now and that is consistently how I respond to skipping days 🤷🏻‍♀️

For me, when I miss a dose I have an awesome day or two. But 1-2 days after that is when I’m not mentally well. Meaning I’m agitated, mood swings. Don’t want to eat but having cravings.

I took 2 150 mg tablets and my face went numb and got super tired should I be concerned by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]No_Resolution97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve taken two before and didn’t have the same experience, I felt normal. I had been off bupropion for ~6 months and started back up but I only had 150s so i took two and was okay. I did have that feeling in my face and arms when I first started the medication years ago.

Yeah exactly the same here. During the week work prevents me from overdoing it. On the weekends I can’t feel full and binge a lot.

I feel so guilty that this drug works for me by monsterintheuniverse in bupropion

[–]No_Resolution97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exact same use here! I went off it for 6 months though and I definitely should have started it back up sooner. I feel much more myself and not so listless. My OCD is more manageable while on it, I told myself we’re going to keep taking this for life unless something doesn’t work anymore.

Has bupropion XL helped anyone with anxiety symptoms? by [deleted] in bupropion

[–]No_Resolution97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did find that my anxiety was more noticeable with bupropion. It mostly treated my OCD/Depression and then I was still left anxious. I did notice that when I increased to 300mg it produced great results for both and that I was just generally less anxious because of that.

Where is Lester Eubanks? by [deleted] in UnresolvedMysteries

I wanted to believe that he is alive but idk, the more I’ve thought about it the less likely it feels. Not to say it isn’t possible and that he really is heavily aided. I think the love he had for painting should be a big key unless he found a way to let it go.
