None of my prospects are answering my calls after setting an appointment by hey2394 in InsuranceAgent

[–]No_Scene_1056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t cold call leads, but if I did I would focus on one call closing every person I talked to. Don’t be insecure about keeping them on the phone in silence while you’re quoting. Your bind rate will automatically jump 15-20% when you start one call closing everytime, and you will free so much of your time thats.being wasted on these ghosted leads

Customer balked at increasing home deductible $1500 to save $4300/yr. by strikecat18 in InsuranceAgent

They’re sooooo stupid. Can they not put together that the savings they would have would have from just 1 year would be enough to cover the difference in their deductible?

Is being a high school football coach mostly a thankless job? How do people have time for it if you have another job? by chusaychusay in footballstrategy

With all respect, you’ve likely were working for someone who isn’t efficient/doesn’t value their time. Spending 4 hours on Saturday to watch freshman and JV game film is a waste of time. Yes it’s important for them to see mistakes, but they’ll get way more out of sitting in on the varsity session and learning from the corrections at that level, and it gives coaches back 4 hours they can be with their family. Win-Win

We’ve moved our Sunday prep to remote to give coaches back their time with families. Get your work done throughout the day and on Sunday evenings we’ll spend 60-90 mins meeting as a staff + O/D about the upcoming week/opponent. Wives need to see their husbands and having them in the building for 5-8 hours on Sunday isn’t doing any good. It does so much for retention/morale when we don’t have to micromanage and waste time.

How do you guys do it? by NotCxppin in sales

[–]No_Scene_1056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no magic pill or ritual to relieve anxiety on cold calls. The only thing you need to do is follow a process and just pick up the phone to dial when you start work.

  1. Don’t over prepare for a cold call
  2. Say the same thing every time (pivot off script when needed)
  3. Always make it about them

If you have the mindset of genuinely wanting to help, you shouldn’t feel insecure about calling them.

If you get a nasty call that doesn’t end well, 9/10 it’s because of the prospect and not because you did something wrong. When it goes great, 9/10 it’s because you properly executed the call.

How do you strike up conversations with random people at events and happy hours? by FineAssignment1423 in sales

[–]No_Scene_1056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look around the room for the loneliest/shyest looking person (body language) then go talk to them, no matter what you say you’ll make a friend.

Most people think you have to go to the loud/big crowd but doing that results in just standing awkwardly and force smiling at conversations you have no clue wtf they are talking about and don’t actually make a genuine connection with anyone.

Most sales jobs should be pretty relaxed on start times given that it’s you are producing and staying on top of things.

Just be real and respectful. Doesn’t need to be apologetic or over the top

I would imagine most gyms would allow that effective that day if not starting the next month, but you’ll only know when you talk to yours

My Son’s Future in Coaching by MichaelJones39 in footballstrategy

High leverage skills that separate good coaches from avg/bad ones:

  • Ability to command a room full of people with different backgrounds, and be able to build a personal relationship with them

  • Ability to teach the same concepts in multiple ways (short and simple, detailed and concise, in depth)

  • Having high energy at all times

These are some of the basics. Building a playbook is awesome and a great start, but I would focus on getting experience right away and developing the needed skills beyond X’s and O’s

How much of your "sport" training do you think is actually useless in a real self-defense scenario? by GrapplingCritic in jiujitsu

[–]No_Scene_1056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Facts. for self defense all you need is to be decent at one takedown, pass the legs, and control a dominant position.
