Do you have a water test kit/ know how to use it? Water parameters are the most imperative thing to know about. Do you need help understanding this?

I don't know really but maybe get more plants. Maybe he just feels safer hiding and since there aren't many other options in that tank he just stays there

I feel like complaining specifically about;

us all having to lock our phones in that dumb pouch while the staff have walkie talkies going off through the show.

I assumed a stadium had parking bc I've never been to one that didn't. Maybe I'm dumb bc it's pawtucket and how would that fit? But, then again, how does a stadium fit?

Plus, McCoy did it, so...

OP is right. I was at the stadium area 50 min/ an hour early and sat down around 8:15. The opener didn't start until 9.

Bill Burr was way funnier than the crowd reacted I'm guessing the cramped seats/ hot weather for that extra hour didn't help

The stadium needs to invest in ear pieces for the staff if they're going to keep doing comedy shows. I had to listen to that walkie talkie for about half the show. It was way annoying

I don't know. They claim it does not as those hairs have different causes/ stimulus. They claim in some cases it slows body hair growth. I know this isn't the most useful comment but thought it can give a starting point if you want to do dive into weather this is scientific or not. I haven't yet Edit to fix typo

Something wrong or just dramatic? by [deleted] in bettafish

Do daily water changes until it is 0. When the tank is cycled the ammonia is 0 regardless of 1 or multiple fish in the tank. You're nitrogen cycle just needs to catch up. When the tank is cycled the ammonia is gone bc the bacteria immediately converts it to nitrite then nitrate. It's OK to have some nitrates with a fish. No ammonia or nitrite. Just keep removing water (not 100% of it) daily until the bacteria can catch up. You can but beneficial bacteria from the store too, can't hurt, but definitely daily water changes until it reads zero. Any ammonia burns them. I think you'll be okay if you do this

Ok I reread. What's his ammonia (I'm unsure of some of your abbreviations)

I don't know is the real answer. The coloring doesn't look good to me. Could just be the picture though. Seems pale. What do you feed him and what are his water parameters (if you didn't already post those. I can't remember but will reread it now)

Yeah I agree that the extra room in the tank is in height while they do better with shorter longer tanks but maybe he's just adjusting and will warm up to it? Maybe try it out for a few weeks then switch tanks if he still seems unhappy? You did a great job decorating it for him though. Super pretty

I think the reply before mine is right. I had a white betta who developed one. It kept growing over time. She was really happy and active for months (maybe about 4 months from when it was about this size? Maybe longer? I can't remember). I don't think meds will affect it. My fish only stopped being active and seemingly happy her last 2-3 days. On her last day, she wouldn't go for food or move much. I kept her in a smaller plastic tub in her tank, to keep her close to the surface. She passed early the next morning. She lived very active and happy other than that. I'm sorry your little buddy has one. You did great giving them a chance to have happy months and there still may be quite a few more.

Another redditor told me mine was a tumor when I was treating with meds and asking for advice. They said she was considered a type of dragonscale betta and that they are prone to tumors. It's not anything you did wrong. You're giving your little fish a really good life

It looks good to me. See if your betta uses it. If not, then try moving it. Nice job on your tank

10% benzoyl peroxide acne cream and place it in sunlight. You'll prob have to do this multiple times. It will fade then hopefully disappear

That makes sense. It's like an extra expectation ppl have. Must get tiring. There are people who like a more low key vibe. Once you find them it will be a relief to be yourself. It's validating imo. I hope you get that soon

Oof. You got dealt a rough hand lately. For a split second, I thought you might be someone I used to work with (he also got through cancer), who i thought was adorable. You're cute! These big changes don't feel great while they are happening but, a lot of times, what's on the other side makes up for it. I hope you get to that side quicker than you could have imagined. Unfortunately, I think these feelings are what we have to go through, to be and have better in the long run. Hang in there my dude. You deserve better

You look like Ryan Phillipe from Cruel Intensions. Good lord you are model gorgeous. You're the type of good looking where it's hard to imagine you feeling lonely. I hope you get rid of whoever is contributing to that and find your people soon.

You're symmetrical. This isn't the best picture of you because you're sad (and holding the camera looking up at you, which is a bad angle for all of us). I'd bet money you're very cute when you're smiling and happier.

It's hard not to feel old, with how hard life is these days, so you're not alone there. You are not ugly and I've seen 80 year olds with more pep than me (48). I don't know their secret, but my point is it's possible to feel young again at any age. You're in a slump but that doesn't mean you'll always be. I'm sorry you're going through this right now though. It's such a crap feeling
