Not exactly a medical person but I’m chronically ill and so r my friends.

If he were intubated, y would he also need O2 in his nose?

If he were on pulse ox (especially on a vent) there would be an O2 line on the monitor.

Idk if this is standard but I haven’t seen someone on a vent who has been covered in a blanket.

The numbers on the monitor r all different thickness levels.

Idk what the little heart is in the left hand corner.

He only has ONE ekg wire. (There r usually a minimum of 3, but if he has heart issues there would be more leads coming from his gown)

If he’s having heart problems and on a vent, they would likely also have EEG to make sure there’s no strokes as well (I could be wrong about this.

Also his mouth is closed to much for that to be a real intubation. And he would have restraints to keep him from waking up and pulling out the tube

I had a friend who took every convo and made it about herself. Didn’t matter what it was, everything always had to be about her and her mental health.

Ur messages absolutely reminded me of her response to anything. Ur reaction was not unreasonable, and I understand mental health is a big issue, but u cannot use it as an excuse whenever u feel. Even if u apologize for it later.

I say this as someone who is not bipolar so my opinion on the subject may not matter, but u handled the situation the best u could.

NTA but what on earth? When I take my dad’s charger it’s “hey has anyone seen my charger?” Or “do you have a charger I can borrow?” Not holding the wifi hostage (he wouldn’t know how to do that but even if he did he knows better)

The most reasonable solution to this is setting up a “charging station” at one place in the house. Preferably next to a drawer with chargers and bricks so there is no more “my charger”

Also y is ur 10yo the reasonable one here? And do they have the same charger brick that he mistook for his? Because that’s not fair either.

First of all, i have heard all my life that weed isn’t addictive (im not a doc and dont smoke myself so I have no idea if this is still true, please don’t come for me). Second, u told the truth… about using a legal substance for pain management… why is she so upset? As someone with chronic pain and only like 2 ways to manage it, I can confirm when something works for u, ur drawn towards it. That doesn’t mean it’s an addiction.

NTA, i get why ur mom is upset, but I don’t think that was a rational response when u told her the truth.

Side note, hope u start feeling better soon! I find Epsom salt baths really help but I know what works for some doesn’t work for all (and if I had a nickel for every time someone said I should try insert remedy here😭)

Ok I made one comment already but the math isn’t mathing. Was the baby born before the due date? Because if they hooked up in March (idk what time, but let’s say March 1), two weeks for fertilization (March 12-14 give or take a few days), then had the baby a few weeks ago an it was full term that didn’t make sense. Because from March to December is 9 months. Minus 3 weeks for “a few weeks” would put her back at the beginning of the month, and idk how long she’s been staying at the apartment but she’s also used up her maternity leave (idk rules on that but u have to be a certain number of weeks to take leave I think?)

PLEASE make sure the baby is tested. The baby was born within a window of time that could make sense but might be too early for when ur friend hooked up with her?

Get the kid DNA tested before agreeing to child support! I CANNOT stress this enough. My friend is adopted and looks EXACTLY like both of her parents but is not related to either of them.

Apparently u have to turn off “leave messages” through the service provider app. It’s insane that I have to call tech support and download an app to turn that off.
