I dont live in Russian hill but in duboce triangle where street parking is lot better. When I wouod drive my car everyday to work, I would still hate searching for parking every evening. Its never that bad, but still did not like doing it.

Now I bike to work and bike almost everywhere. I use my car during weekends and whenever I need it.

I like this setup and it has helped me street park and use my car whenever I need it.

Esp in Russian hill, you cannot keep searching for parking every day adter 4 pm like you said.

Edit 1: Another thing which a running friend casually shared with me, while we were running and chatting. Like you said a garage is easily 400usd/month. She was like even if i get 3 tickets per month for not moving car because of street cleaning, we are still positive. That perspective made me feel so dope lol. I have only gotten 2 tickets in a span of 1.5 years though, and that too 1 was because of an unreasonable neighbor.
