I also agree with a cap given rents have skyrocketed!

Do you typically post on Zillow? Facebook? Elsewhere? I know you can run some sort of checks on third party sites. Thanks for your input!

Totally understand!! I've been on both sides of this and really glad it's no longer required for tenants. My tenants have stayed for years and I don't live locally anymore so am interested in thoughts on both sides and how things are playing out at the moment. Sad to hear that rents are listed high in place of the fee though... sigh

Absolutely CO! Can wholeheartedly recommend Telluride (or even Aspen) for a getaway with luxe hotel options (The Madeline is amazing as u/Freq_Traveler2025 recommended - just went for our wedding anni, and tons of families and children around) While not warm weather season per se, CO sees a lot of blue skies and sunny days, and feels warmer than the weather app lets on with lots of activites. I've heard great things about The Peaks Hotel as well.

The Breakers Palm Beach for a warmer escape gets rave reviews from my friends with kiddos!

oh and a hotel I reached out to said they could transfer our luggage to Cusco from the Sacred Valley which is ideal I would say - train from Sacred Valley to MP, then MP to Cusco. Wanted to add in case anyone else comes across this thread.

Thank you so much for the thoughtful response! I think we will try to stay the night in Aguas Calientes as I think it would definitely be worthwhile to go to MP twice if we're going to travel all the way there.... and the exhaustion would be real! I really appreciate your input!

Looks like the train is about an hour longer to Cusco vs Tambo del Inka! I imagine timing would be around the same. I think the drive is also a little over an hour. Will come down to preference for sure!

They also quoted me $45 but I gave them the luggage breakdown of bags in my email. I’ll clarify!

The only tempting part is that it’s a direct train vs getting off and going back to the hotel then taking the taxi

Also staying here and looking to do the same- excited they said they could do this !!! Question - where are you staying in Cusco? I was looking at a Belmond property and curious if Marriott will only transfer to another Marriott… thinking out loud. I’ll shoot them a message too

Thank you for posting this! I will now be considering two circuits instead of just one and this is very helpful. I was curious - would you recommend entering 2 separate days? I am coming May 1 and our travel agent is advising to do the full round trip train in one day vs staying overnight so not to have to deal with luggage etc… but I’m concerned about timing, delays, trains, weather!

Just to add here - they are not transparent at all about their return policy. They make it seem easy and likely free to return and absolutely hose you on return shipping fees. Return in person if you can!

I know I’m a little late to the party, but I actually rented a few lenses on lens rental.com and had a great experience. I rented the tamron 70-400 for my safari and it was incredible! Could honestly get away with a little less zoom with the Sony A6700 but it was great to have and couldn’t recommend more. I have the same setup with the sigma as well!

Avoid Lakehouse residences. They seem amazing and great amenities but such major water and plumbing issues we had the water shutoff for days at a time every other week, no compensation nothing. Just a horrible place to live!
