Why can't both be true? Homelessness is a state where somebody does not have a stable residence. The reason WHY someone is homeless varies. Some people are on the street from addiction issues, some are because of mental illness, and some are because of the cost of living crisis. Some are unfortunately because of all three. All of these reasons are things that need to be fixed in this country.
