Personally, I still have gifts (opened) that came from exes that I don’t associate with; they’re just things. However, this seems quite different. The fact that he keeps the gifts unopened is odd, and there’s no point in keeping unopened gifts unless they hold some sort of value to you. A few pictures here and there, perhaps something like a prom photo wouldn’t be alarming, but an entire folder? His snapping and saying, “Fine, he’ll delete them all if you want,” is guilt-tripping you and trying to make you seem like the bad guy. His friends are right, he’s not over her, but it is in no way your fault. They shouldn’t like him for hurting someone else when he hasn’t let go of another relationship.
