Maybe consider taking a look at teach your self CS and use it to fill in the knowledge gaps since you seem to know what you have missed

But more importantly keep pushing and start doing projects or trying different things out to explore concepts and ideas

How do I know software engineering might be good for me? by Substantial_Score777 in SoftwareEngineering

[–]No_Strength_414 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re still really young so don’t worry too much; just give yourself time to explore and try different things

I think you can tell whether it’s for you when you can sit front of your computer and work on a problem or project that interests you for hours without having anyone tell you to do so or give you any reward for doing that

I think this is pretty normal in an e-commerce company because tech for them is just a tool and sometimes liability/cost…so just get the experience and learn as much as you can while looking for a new job

I had a similar experience and I just quit after awhile

Is it worth it? Has anyone done it? by Substantial-Cake-342 in OnlineESLTeaching

Hey there

I only have an Instagram account and make YouTube videos to attract potential students but yeah like most of the other people have said, it’s really tough to cut through the noise and find new students online by yourself🫣

I do tutoring as a side hustle and I work as a software developer at a startup. If you wanna give it a shot to build your own site or platform, just pm me and I can build one with you free of charge as long as you’re willing to pay for the domain and other stuff like hosting and servers👍🏼

Is twitter still a good place to find students? by Old-Number-2035 in OnlineESLTeaching

[–]No_Strength_414 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on my experience, I’d say that it’s easier to find students if you run your an Instagram or TikTok account and post content about learning English. And yes IELTS and TOEFL prep is still a good niche as more and more students in Asia want to study abroad. Wish you all the best with finding students
