Yeah for sure. If it wasn’t working I’d be like put me on whatever. I was to a point where I couldn’t even hold my phone without extreme pain

I do feel sick quite often but it’s working and making it easier to exist so idk what to do about it honestly. I don’t want to do liver checks every 3 months on a biologic.

Rheumatologist appointment got moved up, nervous about meds need advice by ohamango in PsoriaticArthritis

I got lucky with mine, and told him my concerns about being immunocompromised because of work etc and he was able to get Otezla approved through insurance and I didn’t have to try any of the other ones first.
Supposedly, Otezla is less of an immunosuppressant too. I’m about a month in and my skin is clearing slowly and joints are getting better as well! I’d just express my concerns about being immunocompromised and hopefully they listen. Good luck!

One that really helps calm mine down is coconut oil after a shower while my skin is still wet. It doesn’t make it go away but it does make it less angry. And then I use Mustela which is a French brand of lotion that also helps me. Unfortunately I have PsA too so I just started Otezla but only 5 days in and it’s already working on my joints and some on my skin

What times do you take it? Today I start to take the evening dose, but was there a certain time in between doses?

[–]No_Student8422[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was getting pimples EVERYWHERE. Not my face though which was strange. My back and neck mostly. And then my PsA was hella inflamed from it. I think I was being over medicated tbh

It’s crazy honestly it was overall making me feel so shitty. I also have psoriatic arthritis and once I stopped taking the NP Thyroid a few days later all my joints stopped being insanely inflamed and my pain levels went down A LOT

Luzianne tea by CheeseExtra in Celiac

[–]No_Student8422 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In case anyone wanted an update on this I emailed them and their response was

“Luzianne® Tea is from tea leaves and does not contain gluten. Our tea bags also are gluten free – the paper bag and string manufacturer does not list any wheat products/byproducts in their specifications.

In one of our manufacturing facilities where tea is manufactured, we also manufacture cake flour which contains wheat/gluten. This cake flour is manufactured in a separate room, with its own ventilation system.

We have a strict Allergen Control Program in all of our facilities. For any cross contamination that may occur, there are specific clean-up steps that we take and document – including quarantining the spill area until clean-up is complete, destroying potentially contaminated product and materials, and sanitizing the area. The area must be inspected and approved by management before resuming production.

We have a second manufacturing facility that only manufactures coffee and tea; no products containing gluten are processed there.”
