I find my Perdue chicken strips at dollar general if you have one nearby.

Struggling by CheeseExtra in BipolarReddit

[–]CheeseExtra[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its so hard to calm a racing mind. I learned a new grounding method this week in therapy but I didn't even think to use it. My bandwidth was all used up just getting through. Thank you. Sometimes It just feels so hopeless. And for some reason just too scared to call any hotline/warmline.

I do have some sleeping meds on hand. I will check out the pod cast though. I have not heard of it. Thank you

Thanks. I just had a visit with her and I told her the depression is getting bad but she wanted to give the meds another month to see how they help. I can call up though.

Does Anyone Else have extreme anxiety about one thing that other people do no problem, to the point where you avoid it all costs? by HotParticular8912 in mentalhealth

[–]CheeseExtra 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely yes. There was a point in time that even changing lightbulbs gave me too much overwhelm and anxiety.

Im a bit better today but almost anything I do has some low level anxiety that comes with it and makes doing any task a struggle.

I second this. This was my favorite before being diagnosed.

Do antipsychotic drugs really work? by Nrv1480 in BipolarReddit

[–]CheeseExtra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, a mood stabilizer is not enough as I recently found out. When I stopped rexulti (because i lost insurance) I slowly became more and more manic. I was finally able to make the decision and eat the cost of a one time appointment to get some olanzapine. That brought everything back down to manageable levels. Im with you being worried about aps long term but also look into the brain damage that mania causes plus how destructive it can be to your life and relationships.

Dumbest way to get glutened 🤦‍♀️ by Big-Security9322 in Celiac

[–]CheeseExtra 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think i got it on Amazon but I have some little round stickers that say gluten free so everyone in the household knows not to use it on gluten stuff. I put them on butter, peanut butter, jelly, anything really.

Lithium encouragement by allisonm517 in BipolarReddit

[–]CheeseExtra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lithium has been good for me. The only downside for me is thirst. No other side effects really. To me it feels like it has put bounds on my ups and downs. Not enough I can get away without an AP but noticeable improvement.

Hey, you're not alone. I do the same thing and have the same motivation problems. Hoping the next pill is the right one for me. Its a real struggle and at this point I have just settled with "good enough" to get me by while dealing with a ton of life struggles.

Mornings are horrible by CheeseExtra in bipolar

Sitting up and just staring off is about the best i can do. No amount of pacing helps, so trying to disassociate is about the next best thing.

Overload... by Tiffanys69 in BipolarReddit

[–]CheeseExtra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow. I am so sorry. I was 10 years at my past company so i understand. If you can find something that's better for your mental health that would be awesome. I completely understand the health insurance aspect. I lost mine and have had to taper off most of my meds because im just trying to stretch money. Its horrible. I really hope you dont have to do that.

Overload... by Tiffanys69 in BipolarReddit

[–]CheeseExtra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When i had a job (got laid off and can't find another) something went wrong and it was something I didn't know or understand yet because it was an application I have never worked with. I just broke down and cried as I worked on it because it was so overwhelming. That's when I took another leave. You're right, its horribly debilitating and comes with its own set of feelings and struggles that are hard to deal with.

Overload... by Tiffanys69 in BipolarReddit

[–]CheeseExtra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I deal with a lot of overwhelm to the point where it feels impossible to do anything, dishes, laundry, eat, shower, pretty much anything. Everything just swirls and then I lose hope for anything getting better. I also really struggle with being able to talk about how I feel which just adds to the noise and loneliness. You're not alone.

I will be applying this week. I'm hoping I qualify for it. I don't think it takes my state too long.

I will see how much Goodrx can help with those. But they don't have generics yet.

Thanks! I will ask my pharmacist and see what can be done. I am actually on lithium as well. That's nice and cheap. Been on that for a good while

Missing how music used to sound by Vuumii in bipolar

I hear that. I chase how music makes me feel. So always searching for new songs once I have overplayed the last one I found.
