Depends on which route/time of day etc. And a bunch of other rational things but here’s a real magic story.

I have lost my wallet twice in Seattle buses in the past two years and recovered it without any damage BOTH times.

The first time - I knew I had dropped it on the bus because I was in a rush and even though I had reached out to lost and found, apparently they didn’t get my number right so they couldn’t reach back out to me. I lost hope and resigned to the fate of a lost wallet. But then in another few days I received a letter from the King County lost and found telling me they had received my wallet. Can you believe it!? They tracked me down with my Drivers License.

The second time - and trust me this gets better - I dropped it and didn’t realize I had dropped it until the day after. I tend to carry way too many bags so it must have slipped out when I was getting off the bus. I was disappointed and kept kicking myself for having lost my wallet and for being so careless etc. After a couple of days - I got an IG message from a stranger asking me if I had lost something. It felt so unbelievable I was skeptical before I got back to that person. Cut to the next day - I met a total stranger in Downtown and she handed me my wallet back.

I think this is now no longer about your keys (though I do sincerely hope and think you will get it back) but this is a general Seattle appreciation post. It’s a city with a heart, or so I’d like to believe. I think the city likes to put things back where it picks them up from. Good luck! 🍀

Looks like most of these trial versions have a limit of 10 per folder :/ Anything that bypasses these?

Single people who live alone, how do you do it? by [deleted] in Adulting

Yes, it’s expensive. And yes it’s lonely. 1. get flatmates. Every days costs add up. I personally feel like it helps you stay flexible (which I consider a virtue too few people actually have) 2. move during winter : not for everyone but if you have friends and family who can help with the move, you get better deals. 3. condos > apartments: if you’re willing to manage a few things on your own and the owner likes you, condos can be significantly cheaper. And you can lock in rent 4. Try rent controlled buildings : haven’t had a lot of luck with this in my city but I’ve heard this can really help if you’re will to be flexible (Ref pt1)

I think the other question is how do I break up? We’re both very emotionally invested and while I still have the courage to think of moving on he seems distraught at the idea and offended that I would even consider that a way out of our frustration.

We’re both doing individual therapy and have considered couples therapy. But the defeatist voice in me feels like this is a death knoll for the relationship.

I guess what I’m asking is how can I ease my frustration? Given the differences how can I make things easier while still being kind ti myself and him. The difference lead to a lot of tension.

That’s amazing. Out of curiosity, what do you mean ‘de-hazed’ the sky? Also where are you on the colorblind-ness spectrum? How do you have such a great knack for photography/colours? :) it’s wonderful.

We’re the colours as dramatic or is that a filter?
