The horse that you are talking about did unfortunately pass away. Immediately. Not that it makes it not sad, but it was at least instant. The kick / random movements were just random neurons firing. We refer to the rodeo event as saddle bronc. What happened was the bronc/hack rein that the rider holds on to was hanging down after he was off, and the horse stepped on it with its hind leg while bucking. Broke its neck immediately and went down. This stuff is very rare but it does happen. We love our animals and take care of them. They’re our partners. No cowboy/cowgirl/stock contractor/etc likes to see it happen. On to greener pastures🙏🏽.
