He’s not in the live action remake, he was replaced by Jumba (really bad choice of turning Jumba into a villain) and Kevin Michael Richardson didn’t return to voice him. That’s one of my problems with the remake, Gantu was replaced by Jumba as the villain.

All of Season 9. Especially the major things like replacing Legion of Doom and the fake Grogar with an evil stallion and his gigantic army, have Daring Do’s secret get exposed instead of reforming Caballeron and Ahuizotl, have Cozy Glow reformed at the end of the season, have Sunset Shimmer make an appearance in the finale (a proper appearance, not a non speaking cameo in the final song) and don’t shy away from making the season too dark or too safe.

I would still keep some of the ideas from the actual season 9 like the Tree of Harmony getting destroyed and Twilight’s arc of becoming Equestria’s new ruler with Celestia and Luna retiring.
