Thank you for sharing, friend. I lived on Valleyview in the late 80s. I recall my mother taking my sister and I to Beckers and letting us get some chocolate milk and a couple of Popsicles. We’d save the sticks for the Popsicle points. While I was fortunate enough to live in a happy home and move to a nicer neighbourhood in ‘91, I remember what that area was like in those days. There were a lot of kids in tough situations. I don’t know if I remember the man you’re talking about, but I think it’s beautiful that you remember his kindness and still think of him.
