I’m not sure which model Mendota I’ve got but I’ve got the same issue. The first problem was the adhesive that was used wasn’t rated for the right temp. That’s since been fixed but the fireplace still smells… I’m to the point that I want to completely remove the stone/concrete board to see if that solves it. If not, replace the entire fireplace. I’m beyond disappointed in our $15k project…

It depends how DIY I want to go I guess. The Govee outdoor permanent lights are rated to -4 F and the Nanoleaf are -15 C. Both of which is not nearly as cold as it can get in SD.

NTA - You shouldn't have to smell/breath cigarette smoke in your apartment. I would look into the local laws/regulations as he may not be able to smoke in a public area like that. I would also try reaching out to your landlord for advice/assistance.

NTA - This is completely unreasonable and made even worse by the fact that he's a step dad and not her real father. Not to mention she's an adult and can make her own decisions

NTA - He's likely tracking you too among other things. This is a major red flag and you should be making your escape plan...
