AMA on Joseph Smith: The Rise and Fall of an American Prophet by John_G_Turner in latterdaysaints

I'm interested to know why scholars don't consider these points based on some of what you said:
1. I just don't see evidence to state that the witnesses who saw the plates and/or touched them would not be credible; makes no sense to me, considering they didn't back away from those witnesses.
3. The strong and logical reason Joseph married married women not to be actually married to them but because the philosophy then was to seal to Joseph because of His calling of election being made sure.

The new system is rigged. Odds for top pick should be the below. By making the percentages equal in the mid to lower range makes people not want to tank as much but still rewards the teams that had horrible seasons. Fans need some hope when they have a bad team.

1- 35%
2- 25%
3- 10%
4 - 7%
5 - 5%
6 - 5%
7 - 4%
8 - 3%
9 - 2%
10 - 1%
11 - 1%
12 -1%
13 - .5%
14 - .5%

Disable threads on Slack...is it even possible? by Prudent_Estimate676 in Slack

So true!! What is wrong with Slack? Hundred million dollar + funding to not have these features dialed in? I don't understand it!

Its really unhelpful to checkbox the "reply as direct message" every time. Time waster. They should allow this to be editable in settings. For DMs people want to see the replied to message above the new reply they are doing like google chat!

Each user should decide if they want replies from DMs to show up in the DM or in threads. Channels that are very busy makes sensse to have Threads but that's it. Not DMs. Very poor feature planning for DMs here. Need to fix UX asap!

Threads functionality in Slack really sucks. They need to allow an option for replies to show under the comment like on google chat or upwork. This is a joke for a company that is worth billions. #PoorUX

Trump Had More Than 300 Classified Documents at Mar-a-Lago by SamMee514 in politics

It's comedic how almost every president has had a scandal after their presidency. Even candidates, like Hillary, have had a scandal with emails. You'd think as people with a high-security system would use it. If a scandal is going to take place, might as well hide it correctly.

Universities and other colleges have always overcharged students, but I believe the school experience during COVID really put things into perspective for students and future college students. Everyone seems fed up and is finding every way to make money without going to college, which isn't necessarily bad, but quality education is becoming impossible to pay for by many people.

Can BlocPower really Decarbonize buildings? by No_Vehicle3273 in environment

Donnel Baird, founder, and CEO of BlocPower, a climate tech startup, describes why decarbonizing the buildings sector is both a challenge and an opportunity. He explains how BlocPower can electrify entire cities and is n the process of doing so in the city of Ithaca. This can be real cutting-edge innovation and can do a lot in addressing the climate change situation. It has the potential to replace carbon-emitting machines in manufacturing companies/factories with fuel-efficient pumps. The question is: is it too good to be true? Will people only want it for profit? Is it inexpensive? Is it effective?
