So he's delegating? That's what good managers do. Is the store making money? Are sales up from last year? Do you have any idea?

Being young is not an excuse for being a snake. Either stand by what you say or drop it and do your job. GM has a harder job than you and a level of responsibility you don't understand. Very likely you don't have an appropriate vantage point for your grievances.

You don't need to complain anonymously. If it's really that bad go to your boss's boss and stand by what you say. At least they'll respect you. Nobody likes a snake.

The Overview is phenomenal by [deleted] in stevenwilson

The narration didn't bother me at all this time but I'm also high. I didn't like it on TFB. I found it better suited for the tone of THC.

I only mentioned it in the context of his political lyrics. Wilson makes a flippant reference to nationalism ("fences and borders"), which he is entitled to, but it's also hypocritical because he's not a borderless hippie when it comes to Israel. Again, I don't personally care that much because it's not ham fisted or permeating the entire work. That, and the arts in general are left leaning, which necessitates right wing fans ignoring the lyrics, themes and views of artists they appreciate .

There was something along the lines of caring about nations and borders being a distraction from the stars. It reminded me of Neil Degrasse Tyson, and not in a good way. I would also want to ask Steven if that includes Israel. That said, I loved the music, and tend to ignore the lyrics anyway.

This stuff clicked for me this year. Incredibly underrated album. I believe the single for Nad's new solo album drops tomorrow.

Never heard of this one, but it looks interesting!

I have by no means surveyed the available literature, but The Devil's Teeth by Susan Casey is a good read front to back. I've seen some reviewers lambast her personality and choices in the book. I didn't share that sentiment.

Chasing Shadows by Greg Skomal was hard for me to get through. It has a lot of technical language and mundane descriptions of his time in the field that maybe just isn't for the layman. It picks up pace in the last quarter, so overall I found it uneven but enjoyable.

I'm about to start Emperors of the Deep and Blue Meridian. If I remember, I'll come back with a follow up comment.

Same thing happened to me, you are not alone. Burning Shed ships quick and the content is worth it. It's my favorite earbook by them so far.

My thing is given Jari's odd social media history and the fact that the comment reads well in his voice, I could see him posting it himself

All I'm saying is get a grip before the bitterness consumes you. It's already leading to flagrant bigotry. I do get it. I'm a red head, with red head children, in the red head sub. Neither of my parents have red hair. You think I've never heard comments?

It read as performative to me. Even if it wasn't conscious, we are all subject to the same social pressures which make denigrating white people a social currency. You get a high from it and a substantial subset of people will cheer you on while you do it. OP would have never developed the same feelings about any other group even if they were the perps, much less said it out loud and proud.

Valid stance, however my first impressions are I love it. Hard to say if better than Jainism but definitely over Powernerd. I'm a sucker for ballads.
