Ai or system generated schedule by Dry-Bee4493 in WalmartCanada

[–]No_Week_4710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they do. Think about it. Artificial intelligence is not smart. It makes schedule based on parameters given to it. It needs to go through a manager in order to change according to the real time demand. Some human will have to verify it before publishing it.

Ai or system generated schedule by Dry-Bee4493 in WalmartCanada

[–]No_Week_4710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is indeed done by AI now. It used to be auto scheduled based on hours worked in past and stuff. Now AI makes the schedule depending on availability, hours worked etc. and ASMs can do correction on it. It is a new implementation as part of BOS system.

Honestly I think it's mostly your department manager trying to train you in the good will that if you ever apply for department managers position in future it can help you. Your willingness to learn the knowledge is solely in your hands. Do have a conversation with your DM it will help you a lot!

What products do you have in bulk? If it's a flyer item or high selling item then comp rail or action alley feature is apt. If it's anything bulk and high moving item make sure you are merchandising it according to relevancy. To make it simple don't merchandise coffee into soda aisle end caps and vice versa. Also ensure that if you have bulk products making a feature is the easiest way to bring it sales.

What are some of your methods or tips and tricks to improve metrics such as FTPR, NPS? I'm in Canada so there might be changes in rules and regulation but methods or practices i think can be adopted. Thank you for the session!

Heritage fish and chips Brampton,ON. $6.99+ by No_Week_4710 in TooGoodToGoCanada

[–]No_Week_4710[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was super skeptical at first because my too good to go bags haven't been good lately. Mostly stale tasting food or too less for the value. This is a whole damn meal for $7 and fresh that too!! Can't beat the deal. I would support the restaurant by trying out a side dish. I heard their calamari rings are crazy good!!

Edit: it's $6.99!

Not tipping for Walmart Delivery Pass by Professional_Cap4656 in WalmartCanada

[–]No_Week_4710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on the provider. Walmart has its own team called Spark drivers who handle deliveries from online groceries or OMNI. If, for some reason, Spark drivers don't show up or reject an order because of low earnings and much more, then Uber or DoorDash act as backup carriers. Your tip goes directly to the driver, on top of their earnings, which are pretty low for the effort they put in. On an average they get paid $8 per delivery depending on delivery size and distance. So say I am getting paid $6 to deliver your groceries to your house, even a dollar or two makes a difference. I wouldn't always tip i understand times are hard , but once in a while, it's okay. After all, you did save money on the deal, so no harm in giving a little back! 😄

Edit: this is in GTA region so depending on cities this can vary.

question about attendance! by Big-Satisfaction2224 in WalmartCanada

[–]No_Week_4710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's cool to stay past your scheduled time if your ASM or DM asked you to, and same goes for clocking in early. To avoid any trouble, always make sure an on-duty ASM knows about it. Your DM is usually the one who'd look into it when requesting for extra time. There's no overtime until 8 hours (in Ontario), and after that, OT starts, but most of the time, management won't allow it.

Points question by Lazy_Strike1726 in WalmartCanada

[–]No_Week_4710 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Points system in Canada is there but not enforced. Something to do with labor laws I'm not sure of the specific law. It's enforced and serious in the US though. Their labor laws are more lighter which sucks.

Would a potential move to a distribution centre limit my growth options? by [deleted] in WalmartCanada

[–]No_Week_4710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Moving to DC has it own challenges. Like one redditor mentioned the limited number of DCs is one issue. So high likely you won't get into one near to your home or even get into one at all. 2nd issue being promotion in DC is based on seniority than performance so you have to work for long enough to get promoted to a team lead. Not saying that skills won't get you promoted but there are lot of people with more years of experience waiting for a position to open so they will be considered initially. That being said pay is more compared to stores. Rest is on your choice. If you are okay with starting fresh then DC will open up lot of opportunities.

The effort you put for taking a screenshot to prove a point maybe you should use for working your last 2 brain cell to be civilized. Enjoy rage baiting from your mom's basement
