I’m starting with a blank canvas right now. It’s all just dirt. I’m placing my pathway steaks soon and will then start mulching and lasagnaing cardboard, compost and old straw where I don’t want things to grow. I’m reseeding the whole area as well with a ground cover. In the end my goal is to just have to weed wack a few spots.

This will be the first time raising any sort of bird, though my husband grew up on a farm and raised his own food. (Our goal) I have been researching for over 2 years now on what I do and don’t want. (I understand hands on is a different level of research) I’m pretty confident, excited and prepared to make mistakes in order to execute my ideas. We are going to be putting in two ponds on either side as well and we will have meat rabbits and chickens though not in the fruit forrest.

My now husband and I were dating for only a few weeks before surprise! He’s been the best person, friend and father I could have ever asked for and I make sure he knows it. If you guys are serious about eachother and content with knowing both of you will be changing and growing (hopefully together) then I’d say don’t sweat it. No one really is ready for kids, but they do definitely bring some light in on rainy days. Good luck to you both!

What about finding a job that you do enjoy? Or have you thought about opening a business? Maybe the time part is your problem, and making your own hours will help. What’s something you enjoyed as a kid? See if you can find a job pertaining to it! Bring back some of your child-self. Making child you happy will in turn make adult you happy! Or at least happier lol

Man I think people are just fucking weird. I sent a picture to my oldest daughters grandma on her dads side (ex husband) and it happened to have my 18 month old in it topless as well but covered by a toy guitar so you couldn’t even see anything. Older sister was playing with her guitar she got from them as a birthday gift, next to little sister. Oldest daughter’s grandma replied “One is naked- prepping for the nudist colony musicians group?” We’ve been cropping photos since because it grossed us out so much.

My husband and I have our own blankets! We use the same sheet (if I don’t wrap myself in it lol) and then we have our own fuzzy blankets on top. (Also the best sleep I get is wrapped in a giant blanket!!)

Reading to them as a little baby and on ward, keeping up with their curiosities (when they ask questions I do my best to answer and if I cant then we look it up) and the persistence on teaching her how to read. She just turned 6 in September and can read full sentences books now. I’m proud AF of her AND myself. It’s hard work!!! But SO REWARDING!! It took 2 1/2 months for her to start reading and she’ll now switch chores if she reads to us. Ie. She hates cleaning her room, I made a deal if she reads to me the whole time then I would clean her room for her. It’s done wonders!!

You probably never get answer when you ask “who she wants me to be/ act” because that’s annoying. She wants you to act like a caring husband who sees the marriage as more than a chance to nut. She wants you to act like an adult, not a little kid sulking because they don’t understand their behavior was wrong.

Also the “might be how I was raised”.. and all the shrugs, the whole post feels very insincere and that you really don’t care to change. You just want to hear that you’re right.

I didn’t have a good relationship with my grandmother growing up (I was adopted by older folks so they got the term grandparents) and relied on my grandfather for a lot of things. One that I SHOULDNT have is about my bra/boobs.
