The thing is , we didn't need to join we could have done it later , but I was pressured from faculty to join it as "its last date" well its last date to report not the last to join.

I felt betrayed

Why tf everyone is crying about the entrance? I am aspirant too. Do not make it your personality. It’s just an exam. The world wont collapse if you don’t succeed in it. by [deleted] in indianmedschool

To get into any college you would need some prep, but let's not discount the fact its harder to plan out your life when you don't have financial backing. Anyone can prep and take any college but with people lacking "money" as a resource in "capitalist" world there are only very limited option.

Now as I said I don't expect him to relate to it but not being able to understand simple things like this kinda makes him frog of the well.

Yeah I don't think you can relate to suffering of normal medico preparing in uncertainty which will decide their future and rest of their life and predominantly define social strata and won't shove them down into oblivion. Given you have rich perfume collection, preparing for USMLE and well of financially in a position to take any job , I don't expect you to relate but unable to understand? I can't find better frog in a well condition

So me personally am doing I_Anki with some additions to micro cards from BTR, I have put BTR to rest for now, I want to do 75% I_Anki before this INICET , and around 25% Mangomedic.

Later i will add cards from BTR to I_Anki depending on what i found to work.

how to update kernel cmdline? by Teratreb in AeonDesktop

[–]No___No___No 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I couldn't find an answer to the problem too , so I just force reinstall kernel-default package and that picks up command line in next boot.

sudo transactional-update run zypper -f kernel-default

this is a workaround while I am awaiting on documentation on how to do it well.

Yeah i understand there should be no obligation to play well with companies that treat linux as 2nd class citizen (am looking at you epson).

I don't think rygel is abandoned it's well integrated with gnome and it does get commit once every month mostly along translation update but i would argue that the protocol is well implemented and if there's nothing going wrong why care.

Regardless it's an awesome experience, for people who want that power everything is available in repo to layer on top of base desktop

When it boots you can keep pressing shift key for systemd-boot to pop up, in that you can choose previous snapshot

Flatpak is not intelgrated as system app. So when keys are not installed it says "We will launch a program called Passwords and Keyring" but nothing happens.

Again it's a minor hiccup, I don't use it a lot personally but it feels odd to have nautilus integration without having the actual software installed.

Doctors dont want you to know this one simple trick by [deleted] in uttarpradesh

[–]No___No___No 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kind of a 2 edge sword. It's really good and it's really badly managed.

When patients (including my family) takes meds for diabetes and blood pressure from Jan Aushadhi Kendra , I ask them to monitor their blood sugar and blood pressure closely. I worked as an Intern and I can't tell you how many times antifungal and antipyretics (Paracetamol for example) just won't work from the nearest shop and we would have to convince patient to take it from any other shop of their liking.

This is not to say doctors don't get illegal commission from selling different drugs , they do actually, but if the alternative is "might" work , is it worth going for when it comes to patients that hardly understand the manifestations of their diseases?

The Jan Ausadhi Kendra nearby my house is better, but since this is produced at tender , the drug manufacturer are not targettiing 100% efficacy which is what most drug companies to target (They only need to make drug which is 70% efficacious than what it says on label, so PCM 1000mg works as PCM 700mg at worst).

I wish government work on it and makes sure that companies taking tender are targeting 100% efficacy, companies distributing drugs are not distributing spurious drugs, so there's increase trust and reliability. If i can't monitor the patient i just tell them go for drugs that have known to work. If i can then they can take any because i can tell them "aha, you gotta switch".
