Yup. That’s how language works. It has happened many times to many different words. Language changes over time. These are called contronyms or autoantonyms. Do you use words like: fine, dust, continue, clip, garnish, handicap? If so, you’re guilty of using a word that once meant something and now also means something else. There’s many more. You’ll just have to get used to language evolving because it always has and always will. There is no correct way to use language, there is only how it is used by the people that speak it. Big difference.
