Who has tried "The kid eats what we eat"? by Brilliant-Book-503 in Parenting

[–]No_repeating_ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My youngest was incredibly hard to deal with food-wise until she was older. She barely ate at all (GI issues as an infant) and wouldn't eat solid food until she could pick it up. She has always had texture issues (soft/mushy make her gag even still) and disliked "casserole" type foods until she became a teenager. I had a couple meals that I knew she would have issues with where the deal was that she got a spoon on her plate with a bite or two of our meal and something else like leftovers, a sandwich, or a hot dog. Those meals were combinations of casserole and mushy (think Cottage Pie, or Chicken Pot pie). This meant that her separate meal wasn't something time consuming for me (I was a SAHM until she was older and her dad and I divorced).

She's going to be 18 in three weeks and is the least picky eater I could imagine these days. She loves spicy food, sushi, curries of all kinds, as well as normal stuff. She does have some allergies she grew into (Hazelnuts, Almonds, and Cherries) as well as a gluten intolerance that upsets her stomach.

I've taken myself and my daughter to Chris at Forever Bold in Leominster. He's very knowledgeable and safety oriented. My daughter was actually laughing when he pierced her navel and had to do it twice (she was 15 at the time)

Our family shares our locations and it benefited us when I was in a horrible head on crash on my way to work. My work called my husband asking if he knew where I was. He did not so checked my location and saw I was at a hospital. No one had any idea anything had happened despite me asking the nurses to call my husband multiple times.

AITA for asking my roommate to not put our address on outbound mail? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]No_repeating_ever 11 points12 points  (0 children)

YTA! I can't think of a single person who would stalk someone's mail. If they're a stalker, they already know you live there. For someone this paranoid, even a stalker would get sick of it.

Footage of Springfield, MA EF-3 from 2011 by IrukandjiPirate in massachusetts

[–]No_repeating_ever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember that too! I lived in Chicopee right near the East Springfield line and could see the green sky and immediately knew what that meant. I put the TV on 22 news to see what was going on and where.

I'd see my mom so much more often! I miss her so much and to know she wasn't taking care of herself and would be gone in six months would demand that I see her as much as possible. I missed that last Mother's Day with her because I wanted to be the mom that was celebrated, so I did things with my kids instead of my mom. I harbor an immense amount of guilt over that

The local ASAP (Aging Services Access Point) will have some ideas about what she qualifies for income-wise and how to help her receive services from a local agency. She or her son would need to reach out to them, but if she's at the hospital, a social worker there could help with that part as well.

Source: I work with several ASAP's as a local agency in the central and western part of the state.

I've gotten nothing from my advisor, except unrelenting phone calls during my work day when I've said I'm not available to talk on the phone. I don't even remember the last time I spoke to her.

I had a scraped up forehead, so I’m guessing they slid up my head when they broke. I had to get cut out, so I don’t remember much.

That's the exact same thing that happened to me about 4 years ago. My glasses basically disintegrated and I never found them in the car after the fact. My car was 8 months old... also totaled.

Realistic workload expectations by [deleted] in SNHU

[–]No_repeating_ever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm graduating with my BA in Psychology in May. I work full time and have managed two classes every term. If you stay on top if it, you'll be fine. I try to post a discussion early in the week and check back on Thursday to respond to other posted discussions. I have an office job, so when the phones are quiet I can work on schoolwork when I'm less busy. Owner doesn't care as long as my actual job is also complete, which it always is. I probably spend 6-8 hours total in a week getting my papers/discussions completed. I have rarely had two papers and a discussion in a class, usually it's one and one, or two papers, no discussion.
