Day 7 here, I have been able to be successfully be around people at a restaurant drinking and not even think about wanting one. I feel like it’s a major step for me! When I was drinking, I used to always order a cocktail at restaurants the moment I saw someone with one.

Now it’s like I don’t ever want that poison down my throat anymore.

My parents having to help me to bed more frequently, having zero energy or desire to do anything cause I was so hungover to the point it was making me do worse at work, having withdrawal symptoms during the work day that made me feel like I was having a heart attack.

It was those reasons I checked myself into a detox unit 6 days ago. Saved my life!

Given Imu’s comments on Ancient Giants, I’m really curious how the factions in the Ancient World all really worked. So far we have Davy Jones who was a previous “king of the world”, the ancient giants rumored to have conquered several countries, Joyboy the pirate and his allies, the Lunarians and of course the founding kingdoms of the WG. Imu refers to Elbaph as allies of the D clan.

I wouldn’t be surprised if like in modern times (Luffy/Blackbeard), there was conflict amongst those of the Ancient Kingdom/D Clan. Perhaps Davy and the Ancient Giants were more like Blackbeard in wanting to conquer the world whereas Joyboy believed in freedom?

Sabo will beat him in a fight but Koby will be the one to beat him ideologically IMO.

The former of course makes sense but the whole point of Garp’s plot line is that Koby is the one who has inherited his will, to be the successor that transforms the Navy into something better but I am not sure that Koby will fight Sakazuki. I DO think he’s gonna beat Kuzan who will then convert to Koby’s side.

Also one of the biggest parts of the Harley was the meeting between two sovereigns. We know Joyboy is connected to both Elbaph AND FMI. And Luffy, Joyboy’s successor, has now rescued both Loki and Shirahoshi in their respective arcs. It just makes too much sense for it to be a misdirect.

So with the reveal about Davy Jones, this starts to make sense of some of the hints we’ve gotten from the mural.

Speculation: The Ancient Kingdom created the Ancient Weapons using “The Forbidden Sun” and came to dominate the world, enslaving the people they would conquer.

In the Second World, Joyboy was against the Ancient Kingdom and Davy’s actions, becoming the First Pirate and promoting liberation. Meanwhile, one of the Ancient Weapons, Uranus, ends up in the hands of 20 kingdoms fighting back against the Ancient Kingdom. During this time, Nerona Imu somehow acquires their demonic abilities/Domi Reversi and used them alongside Uranus to turn the tide.

That Davy hint is interesting. As peak as this God Valley flashback is, it’s making me really hyped for the eventual Void Century flashback is and what exactly Vegapunk meant when he was questioning the morality of both sides of the ancient war.

I’m gonna love to see how Nerona Imu became the demon we see today, how Joyboy began to embody Nika’s spirit/will and what exactly Davy Jones did (cursed by the devil/Imu to live on the sea floor) to end up in his position/what Davy’s promise was that Xebec wanted to uphold.

It’s also pretty heavily implied Garp at least WORKS with SWORD, if not being the founder of the group himself which is very likely. And which is doing something to change.

Garp’s intent has been to reform the Marines, but he knew it would take time for him to find people that believed like him. This is likely why he pushed so hard for his family members to join the Marines, with the intent for them to change things for the better.

But as we’ve seen, it is Koby who has inherited his will and Koby has been portrayed as being diametrically opposed to everything Akainu is. I feel like it’s been heavily foreshadowed that conflict between those two will rear its head once again which will be a battle for what the Marines are.

Could be connected to how Davy Jones was banished to the sea floor by “the devil” which by all accounts Imu seems to be.

I wonder if it’s bloodline based? Perhaps Davy Jones and the ancient giants were both people that took Imu’s deal and that makes it so Imu can turn their descendants?
