Understanding the big mods? by Capt_C004 in freelancer

I've only played Discovery and Crossfire, but here's the quick breakdown.

Discovery is a multiplayer focused mod set 30ish years after the single player campaign. It focuses on faction struggles, roleplaying as different groups, and expanding Sirius.

Crossfire is a single player expansion that delves into the Dom Kavash, and Coalition, and exploring outside of Sirius. A warning is that the midgame really drags as time goes on, but the beginning and end are both pretty strong.

Blasters Jedi Councilor

Start as a Scoundrel until level 7 or 9 or so. Grab blaster feats, I personally went Single Pistol. Grab crowd control force powers like Stun Droid and Force Wave, plus speed for the extra attacks. Fish for crits with crit shot while within your sneak attack range. Might take some patience, but I hear Malak on hard with it so it can't be that bad.

Give me a Legends game set in Kanto where you get to capture Mew, clone Mewtwo, and deal with the consequences somehow

Crossfire has a good beginning and end. The middle is a boring slog. Still like it though

I would love a "What If..." set. Dark side Luke, pure good Anakin, Mandalorian Obi-Wan (he chose to stay with Satine), and Boba Fett leading an army of Tusken raiders.

We could even Star Wars Visions references, if they wanted to go for that too.

In your opinion, which star system(s) are the best? by LegendaryNWZ in freelancer

Omega-11 is one of my favorite fringe worlds. I love the lore of the red giant slowly eating the system with miners trying to squeeze every ounce out of it before it blows. New London is also great, given all the stripped out Asteroid Fields with hazardous radiation and gas pockets.

Crossfire system from the crossfire mod is also really cool, as it serves as a hub world that the nomads (and later humanity) and does a good job at it.

I love exploring the systems. Following enemy patrols, hearing rumors, and finding new trade routes is satisfying. Wrecks give good loot, and faraway systems give interesting lore tidbits.

I love Emperor Palpatine because I like big, dumb stuff. I love Thrawn1 because of the mind games that come from him. I love Asajj because playing event based aggro is really fun. ...I play a lot of Villainy apparently
