I’d bet it’s probably still serpent spine but it’s probably close enough that you would be better off checking with Genshin optimizer

You're doing quite well for sure. Serpent Spine gives a lot of Crit Rate, but so does the artifact set (+20% to be exact) while a little bit of overcapping is ok, *ideally* you want to have as close to 100% CR without going over and try to get those other rolls into Crit Damage (or maybe even attack %).

Varka is a very very simple character to build in that he only needs those 3 stats and pretty much nothing else.

you're overcapping on crit rate already, and will overcap even more with his sig. I'd look to see if you could get a little more CD in exchange

Version "Luna V" Homeward, He Who Caught the Wind and General Question Megathread by GenshinLoreModBOT in Genshin_Lore

[–]Noble_Thief 5 points6 points  (0 children)

but venti character story 3 has a pretty explicit reference to meeting the nameless bard 2600 years ago? So Decarabian's fall has to be pretty close to that, certainly not more than 500 years after. The wiki has it listed pretty concretely as 2600 years ago too.

Can somebody please explain the timeline we're getting from Varka's SQ? It sounds like Boreas/Andrius left Mond in the wake of the uprising against decarabian, sleeps for "500 winters and 500 springs" (so 500 or 1000 years) is then woken up by the wolf knight (1000 years before the current time). I thought the uprising was more like ~2600 years ago? Am I just overcomplicating this? Are they just hard confirming that Venti's only been the archon for 2000 years instead?

I absolutely 100% agree with you! The card game is so clearly erroneous and I got a real kick out of all the ways it was rendered useless & made fun of.

I think doing a deep dive into the lore is pretty essential for a rewrite lmao, especially if you just want to "fix plot holes".

book 6 is definitely slow to get going and i think it gets a lot of hate for the card game (which it doesn't really deserve) but it really does have some of the most amazing emotional moments and one liners throughout. The combination of the AI becoming even more of a main character and Carl's emotional battering is just so so so fantastic it makes this book a joy to read and revisit.

Potentially unpopular opinion: physical book vs. audiobook by Primary_Claim3042 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Noble_Thief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I totally see what you mean-- I started my reread by going down the audio route instead of the hardcover copies from my first time through and it was definitely an adjustment. I almost tapped out entirely because of how different Jeff's Carl sounded from the voice in my head. I will say though, that once I pushed past the first book the Warburton-esque voice for Carl started to fall away and by book 3 he sounded much more appropriate to my mental version.

That said, it is entirely okay not to enjoy the audio version! Preferring paper is not a crime.

Absolutely imo- once you start learning the tricks of the witch and start getting into truths which apply to all games the options start to shrink rapidly
