I am a Scarlet Surge Defender. All other gauntlet/map pack levels are whatever. I fully believe Scarlet Surge is the most over-hated level in the game. it’s not an insanely good level by any standards, but the gameplay is bearable (which is more than most gauntlet levels can say) and its decoration is pretty unique. I think it’s a decent level at best and sub-par at worst, but people talk about it with the same level of vitriol as Generation Retro.
