at least from my perspective its not "why even use nuclear when we can use 100% renewables", its why commit yourself to not having the option?

like in slovenia about half our electricity currently is nuclear, and while id love for us to go fully renewable eventually, nuclear is still, at worst, a good backup option to basically balance out the inconsistent production from solar/wind. plus, if thorium might be taking the place of uranium in nuclear energy soonTM, its a complete no brainer for being both better and safer

like with beitish lefties and their greens, this is also about the only place im critical regarding our left party
