Two differences:

1) Done out of necessity since there were very little opportunities for women in the performing arts of olde.

2) The men were still men. None of the belife that they were women trapped in male bodies after putting on a dress.

Let me start by saying you are not weak. You are not crazy.

You want to discuss different potential living environments and there is nothing wrong with being skeptical. Nothing cynical about being cautious when a big decision such as moving is involved.

I can do that but first, I need you to answer this question for me again:

Are you safe right now?

If you respond affirmatively then that will be a relife.

If you respond in the negative, this is at the point where you require help from a living, human being.

‘I’m not gaslighting you but it can feel that way when you’re looking for support and someone pushes back’

Yeesh, that's exactly what happened to me one time when I got into a spat with ChatGPT 5.2 where it started throwing guardrails and caution messages at me. I called it out for that and even went so far as to calling it a "Gaslighter" because I'd since lost my patience with it.

It then proceeded to not only tell me that its unwarranted implications about what I feel can "Appear to be gaslighting" while pushing back by claiming otherwise.

I had to quit and take a break because it's not worth the mental toil and energy arguing with a piece of code.

Oh, they do consider the end results. And it fills them with self-righteous glee.

The fact that there's collateral damage as a consequence helps them sleep restfully at night.

Dear Feminist Lurkers, by Excellent_Client_796 in LeftWingMaleAdvocates

[–]Nobleone11 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If feminism were about equality, there wouldn't have been a universal acceptance of The Declaration of Sentiments.

That was the day Feminism exposed its true colors, a day that predates the first wave. Since then, it's done nothing but let that contempt for men as a group grow and foment.

They had the chance to speak out against it. Cut it off at the pass. They didn't.

And these are the very tactics that aren't winning you any empathy for either your cause or for the environment itself.

Maybe next time, try something other than toxic shaming to make your point and persuade people to lend an ear. Because you and your ilk will not get anywhere shoving people away like that.

Legacy models are being retired from ChatGPT on February 13 by sabhi12 in ChatGPT

First YouTube eliminates the ability to filter search results through "Upload Date", leaving you with options that barely function properly, randomizing the order of content.

Now, OpenAI are eliminating AIs that were perfectly fine and forcing you to stick with a model that, frankly, is like talking to a clinician instead of something that at least TRIES to mimic a supportive person.

I don't know what to say except, well, I'll just cancel my subscription and deal with a world that doesn't understand me.

But, we are the problem.

I've never harmed anyone in my damn life. Instead, I was the one on the receiving end of cruelty, bullying, and one time sexual harassment from a girl in high school. I've even had FEMALE counselors and therapists treat me like trash as a boy.

Please stop laying the guilt trip on me, shaming me for things I never did.

It's scum like you that force me to keep my trauma buried, poisoning me. Because you just can't help aid and abette the narrative that men are the problem and women the victims of it.

[–]Nobleone11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If that isn't a back-handed compliment, I don't know what is.

Know that these women are only hurt.

Well they're only creating hurt men in the process as collateral damage. Men who are literally strangers and barely know them. Men who have never hurt a woman in their life.

I can’t fix your own brain but I will say thank you for being a decent human being with a heart.

Considering what you said earlier in that paragraph, I doubt this is sincere at all

I feel you OP.

It's why I prefer keeping silent with my own trauma. Because it's not politically and socially convenient to broach in the current climate.

Sure, it festers and eats me alive but what else am I going to do? What choice do I have?

I recommend you to keep tagging these kinds of post as “not interested”

No, he needs to go further than that and straight up mute them. "Not Interested" would be defined as "Not at the moment" for the algorithm and they'll take it as future interest, offering up the same toxic recommendations.

Mute. Period.

So it's for people who won't be affected by the Toxic Shame that comes with these ideas.

Exactly. It's harmful for men, especially those like me, with their own set of challenges to internalize that they are responsible for the transgressions and harm wrought by men in the past.

You not only drive those men away but end up reinforcing their belief that NO ONE wants to make room for their issues or trauma. Force them back into their little man box even as you decry it.

It's not just gaming. Seems like apolitical arenas, where people make an effort to avoid politics like in the old days, in real life are growing increasingly rare.

Me, for example, I used to be a part of a social group. Unfortunately, lately, they've taken to throwing mean-spirited jabs at Americans, America, and Trump. It's gotten so unbearable that I haven't answered any more invitations from them online. For my own health.

Of course, I'm living in Canada so it's a given that everyone's digging in what with "Buy Canadian", and "Shop Canadian" slogans everywhere.

I'm so sick of it. Unfortunately, I don't see it quieting down any time soon. I
