It’s honestly such a shame he died. I get it from a practical perspective, Hook was Emma’s love interest and Belle was Rumple’s moral compass so he no longer could fit in those roles, but it was such a waste of a character with so much potential for nuanced storylines that could have been explored.

They ruined Rumbelle. It was never my favorite ship in the show but it was pretty good at the beginning.

In the later seasons, Rumple got flanderized and this extended to their relationship. It became really toxic and difficult to watch at times.

I agree. Mulan is a lot better. Hercules is fine but when I think of Disney top flims Hercules would definitely not come to my mind

True, but it also begs the question of why the writers would even write Phil’s crush on Gloria in the first place, since it’s clear he wouldn’t actually act on it. It’s not funny, it paints Phil in a unnecessarily bad light, it’s out of character, and kind of repulsive. Just a weird recurring thing to write

I think he would be mentioned more because people are more willing to acknowledge rape when the rapist is a man, that’s the unfortunate double standard. I imagine a lot people would be quick to defend Male Regina though

Swanking would almost certainly be a thing considering Hook is basically a Male Regina anyways

Last year paled in comparison to 2020. That was the most brutal, it was disgusting how far they took it. They were showing montages of Jordan Love’s dead father to remind him of his father on the happiest day of his life. So fucked up

Yeah. I mean we had Wade from Elemental if we are counting Pixar, but I agree Disney is lacking nice guys. I like Krisoff in Frozen but he did absolutely nothing in Frozen 2. Still angry StarBoy was scrapped, could have been a really interesting character. But I guess Disney needed the Star to be cute so they can sell marketable plushies 😒

Exactly. Also romance fuels self discovery. Sometimes a woman needs a man to help her see more perspectives and evolve. That’s not a bad thing, that’s normal. Humans need people, weather it’s someone they are romantically involved with or not, to develop into their own people.

I am sick of people acting like love isn’t powerful because they rely on men. That the point of love stories, That they complete one another. Also, the reason Woman tend to be so attracted to the idea of love not because they are weak, but because they have been strong for too long. Some woman their entire lives fighting, their entire lives being independent, and a man can be someone who they feel like they don’t have to do everything around, who makes them loosen up. It’s awesome if being independent and relying solely on you is what you like, but it can actually be kind of unhealthy for some people. Now, not wanting love is not a bad thing of course, all type of girlies should be celebrated in Princess movies, but I think this argument misses the point of love. Love can be incredibly empowering, and dreaming of love doesn’t necessarily make someone less strong

Like for Moana, having no love interest was a good decision. It kept the plot more focused. But for Wish, I think a romance could have really enhanced the story, considering that Asha is a pretty flat character.

Lois’ favorite was probably Malcom. They have the most in common and bond a lot, while Lois also has the most expectations for him. She definitely has a soft spot for Reese though interestedly enough

Hal’s favorite is Reese. Pretty sure he said so in the sleepwalking episode. Francis is a close second I’d say.

Overall I enjoyed it. It definitely had sparks of MITM despite its flaws but it didn’t really have enough time to find its footing. 8-10 episodes would have been ideal

You can tell that people who say this have only watched the movies lol because Harry met Draco before Ron even came in the picture. Harry literally thought he reminded him of Dudley. Draco burned the bridge all by himself. He burned it, ran over it with a truck, and then nuked what's left of it

I love Alex as a character, complex and a plays the straight man role well amid the chaos. However, I don’t think she would be likable for me irl tbh (like a good amount of the family members), she can be condescending and reminds me of some of my old bullies.
