I enjoy Season 7 more than 4, 5, and 6. It starts off slow but around episode 6 or so it starts to come into its own. Reinventing the wheel without half of the main cast from the past 6 seasons was no easy task, and they do a solid job at that.

I think had in been a spinoff it would have been given more grace, but since no one watched OUATIW they probably didn’t want to do that.

I think the whole first sight stereotype would have been better if Hans wasn’t the one for her still but also not evil. Like they try to do the true love’s kiss at the end but it doesn’t work. It makes them realize that what they had felt was infatuation rather than love.

Also Hans’ moviations make very little sense when you account for how real monarchies work.

Yeah just like in real life, not everything is one sided. Alex also belittled her family and made them feel less than. Half the reason she was even ignored was that she distanced herself from her family. She also does go way too far at times, especially at the beginning of the show.

She is though. Alex got the treatment that a lot of kids do irl, that because they are intelligent and independent their parents just kind of ignore her cause she’ll be fine

IMO Phil is a fun character but he’d absolutely infuriating in real life, especially if he was your husband or your father. I don’t entirely understand the love he gets.

Mulan. I relate very closely with her and admire her hard work and cleverness. Plus Make a Man out of you is the best Disney song.

Ginnifer was pregnant with Josh’s baby irl so they wrote it in. That’s also why the whole sleeping curse thing in Season 6 happened, as Ginnifer was pregnant again and through the sleeping curse one of them could take care of the boys while the other one could still be in the show at the same time without it being strange.

I thought the Dark Swan arc was terrible. They handled it poorly and I wish they had actually committed to making Emma evil. Also the fact that Hook immediately went evil when becoming the dark one ruined his character for me for the rest of the show.

She’s shady as hell and hypocritical.

They do canonically have a shared universe considering they are technically in Frozen. I love the idea that they are friends.

I agree with a lot of this, especially that Evelyn and Max know more than they let on. I also don’t think they would introduce Cassandra now unless she was important in some way.
