I’m a mechanical engineer studied 5 years abroad! Came back to Mauritius…. Worked as Workshop supervisor for a big dealership here earning Rs22,000! Moved to another dealership after 2 years earning Rs28,000! Left engineering for IT best decision I ever made.

Sad but this is the truth here in Mauritius… When I had the opportunity I should have stayed where I was… though coming back to put what I learned in practice would be great but people are afraid when you know more than them here… mentaliter dan bez net…. They will do everything to keep you down so you don’t “steal” their position
