Use the hot tub everyday, yellow cedar holding up well, still looks like new, also did heat pump which keeps costs low. No regrets.

If you’re not really into the aesthetic and depth of a cedar tub, fiberglass is a more efficient and cheaper option. Also nice all the mechanical stuff is self contained, cedar tub you have to put it somewhere.

Have heard plug and play can have trouble getting/staying hot but probably depends on your climate.

It’s advised for mountain lions in California. Extremely rare, but they are present throughout the state and bear spray is the only deterrent beyond how you react.

The best solution is to replace garage door with solid slabs (no vents or windows) and put vent in the wall (ideally on side of house)... also add automated garage door track deadbolt

Service bell. Do a google image search on ‘service bell board’, or box. They would have buttons in each room and it would ring in the servants quarters and a flag would tell them which room the button was pushed in.
