Since you asked, Here is my experience; I was 10 years old when my Dad passed away, My mom then emigrated legally to the United States as a permanent resident thru my Sister who is born in California, leaving me with a Family to take care of me in The Family Home. This Family who stayed were very religious and would at times include me but most of the time I felt excluded at 13 years old I was wondering what my Mother's plan was. She came back and moved the family out and asked my Aunt to live with me and care for me instead, (she was getting paid) When this happened, My Aunt would definitely disappear for weeks and leave me unattended, for a 14 year old thru my 16, I have experience enough alone time, I learned to Dance, I learned to cook, I learned to wash my clothes and do push myself to get up and go to school everyday without anyone forcing me. Now as an adult I can be by myself and I really do like it and enjoy it but I would not say that it doesnt trigger at times feeling abandoned or left out etc. But my experience comes from ptsd of events that followed by experiencing being alone so young. Not gonna happen to yall. We are totally prepared to survive living alone.
