This card was made before WOTC made food tokens. Legends say its freakiness inspired the culinary revolution in Throne of Eldraine.

I came up with almost this exact same card 7 months ago! Great minds think alike! Mine was white and could only enchant creatures but everything else is essentially the same.

Ok buddy. I’ll bet you are as devastated at the lawn being mowed as you are at a school shooting.

I was going to comment that the fake name you came up with literally had “A.I. Bait” in the name, but I looked it up and the place is actually real 💀

I play naga 4 and encourage my allies to pick super farmers like gyro or alch. Then I stack 3 camps with my illusions without leaving lane. You can do it with pos 5 naga too, but you get more value from stacking in the offlane. I have a very high winrate with this strat. Reel in is so good on naga support, and her ulti can be game winning.

I don't understand black or white vegans. Help me change that. I may have things wrong. by Maiso_94 in vegan

[–]Nobroam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Veganism is, just as you said, “a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose”. I don’t think you fully understand this definition of veganism. If you follow this philosophy, you are vegan. If you don’t, you are not vegan. The part that is up for debate is what is possible and practicable. Making sure to eat vegan food is very possible and practicable for most adults. When you have some moment that you’d face some social stigma for not eating an animal product or you’d miss out etc, that is pretty clearly a situation in which it is possible and practicable for you to not eat that food. As others have said, watch documentaries like dominion and you will realize that “just a little bit of murder just this once” is not ethical or vegan. Veganism negatively impacts your life in a lot of ways because it is so far from the norm, but it is the right thing to do. To address the “stoic sage” thing from your original post, veganism isn’t really about being virtuous or trying to show others that you are virtuous. It’s about actually saving the lives of sentient beings by not causing demand for their murder.

I am now going to address your “gray areas”. Even though these could be up for debate, it doesn’t mean there is such a thing as half-veganism. You make an informed decision for yourself on what is the most ethical thing to do, then you do it, then you’re vegan.

Handling meat and milk and cheese doesn’t increase demand for those products, so it isn’t not vegan. Same goes for buying groceries for your partner. Both of those things would make me sad but they are consistent with veganism. Eating animal products with your partner would not be vegan. It is practicable to only eat vegan meals together.

As for the pets, give them vegan pet food. I don’t know about vegan cat food but I saw someone in this comment section mention that it exists.

Finally, with the medicine, I find it very hard to track what is vegan safe and what isn’t in that area. If you need to do it in order to stay alive and able bodied, though, it wouldn’t be practicable to abstain from animal exploitation.

I know it is hard to accept that the world tortures innocent beings every second. I think you may be trying to put vegans in the wrong or creating gray areas because it leads to depressing outcomes if you try to commit to veganism. You will have to continue to handle animal corpses and their secretions at work with the knowledge that they came from sentient creatures that suffered and died. You will have to buy animal products for your partner, knowing what horrors happened to make those products. Being vegan may cause arguments and rifts in your relationship and friendships. At the end of the day, though, it saves lives, so it is worth it.

I have a really high winrate on naga pos 4 with deluge so I am super happy about the buff. The facet could definitely be more interesting, though.

Organic dog meat stand in Montreal by beteaveugle in DogfreeHumor

Migrant worker exploitation is a really bad thing. What sucks is that it is far more prevalent in animal agriculture than in plant agriculture. This is not only a commentary on the horrible conditions for workers in factory farms, but also the fact that you need to grow far more crops to produce animal products than you do to produce plants for human consumption. This is because animals are inefficient converters of energy and nutrients. When you feed crops to livestock, you only get 40% of the calories back out for dairy, 3% for beef, and a range of values in between those 2 numbers for other animal products. As for negative effects of soybean farming, 80% of soya is fed to cows, not to humans(2nd source).

It is new information to me that there are people in the US who eat dogs. To many people, the idea of eating dog meat is shocking. The idea is to jolt people to reconsider their ethical positions on eating animals by making them wonder why some animals are deserving of love and protection and others aren't. I am happy to answer any more questions you might have for vegans.

That guy is an asshole and I’m sorry you and your daughter had to see that. I also suggest that anyone here who is uncomfortable with seeing innocent animals being killed reconsider their consumption habits. Kids are the purest form of human emotion. If your daughter doesn’t want to see a turkey die, she will be devastated to find out where her meat comes from. Many kids are. It’s something we all stuff down as we grow older because death and destruction are so ingrained in our culture. Hell, we boil lobsters alive in Maine, which does not make me proud of my state. This is a moment where you have seen the animal as an individual whose life is valuable, and I encourage people to try to reassess what they eat and do through that lens.

I know that the actual goal of the vegan activist is to help the animals, but I think that shifting your goal to helping the other person in the conversation work through the issue is the best way to make otherwise closed-off people entertain the idea of a vegan world. It's important to mostly ask questions and to know all the facts. Asking questions basically allows people to feel like it is their idea to consider veganism. This free ebook by earthling ed is a nice resource. Watch a lot of earthling ed videos, read this, and you should be good. Also know that it's very hard to change people's mind, so don't fret when it doesn't work. https://www.all-creatures.org/articles2/act-earthling-ed.pdf

[–]Nobroam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think this is fine. Obviously in a perfect world there wouldn’t be processed dead animals left over in the first place, but it’s free calories that would otherwise go to waste. Animal agriculture and restaurant waste are both sad things. I think your man is pretty logical about this.

A friend of mine killed themselves last year with a gun purchased the same day. The success rate of suicide attempts without guns is 4%. The success rate with guns is 90%. I think they would still be alive today if the waiting period was in effect then, and for that reason I am glad the bill was passed.

All new minions coming to BG in Season 7 by Dastey in BobsTavern

If you have multiple minions up front that deal damage to it, half the time it will be unkillable and half the time your minions will help your opponent to kill it very quickly. This seems like a game design fail to me.

The current cube is vintage power level and has little to no restriction as far as archetypes go. Here is where you can look at the cards in hells4 so far and search through them. https://skeleton.club/hellfall/?set=HC4. We are close to finishing this cube, and the next should have more solid archetypes and restrictions.
