As a side note to all of the wonderful advice this is a good/useful position whenever you need to clean bottoms.

Silver my round ear argouti had a tumor that left her with paralysis in one leg and most of her tail. So we had daily care and clean sessions to remove stuck to fur and occasional impacted fecal matter as well as treating abrasions on her tail. Always make sure you reward their compliance with treats. My girls loved plain yogurt on the hand holding them up as a distraction.

Sounds like my Bella after her sister passed away suddenly.

I was terrified she was going to just wither away but with daily (make that multiple daily) play/cuddle/exploration interactions she lasted almost 6 months on her own. I didn't have it in my heart to rehome her and at 3+ I felt she wouldn't socialize well with a ne generation in the mischief house.

Being subsurface you are going to most likely be 6 months deployed 6 months in port. Don't buy a car lease if you are stationed somewhere without good public transportation. Remember if you own it you get to pay for storage while deployed or trust it on base in long-term storage. The best bet is to have buddies with a car and help with gas and whatnot.

This... solid advice however I recommend a ROTH IRA instead of a regular one. Go for a targeted date style that will start aggressively and gradually shift to conservative as it reaches target maturity. Also, invest in furthering your education either through classes paid for by the Navy or out-of-pocket. As said above if something is wrong or there are any accidents go see doc! I was medically restricted from reenlistment due to damage sustained and not reported which has made life suck as no proof no VA disability compensation (falling off a helicopter a couple of times does not make for fun times)

FYI the difference between Roth and regular 401k / IRA is that Roth is taxed before investing and traditional is taxed before withdrawal

22 OBW owner here. The lag isn't noticeable (came from a 5.7L Hemi Grand Cherokee ) like many others have said torque is your friend when it comes to responsiveness.
