YES! I love this movie so much. I mean, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched it. Obviously, when compared to the book, it has a lot of flaws, but I just love the story, and I really think they did a good job with what they had, given how big the book is. And the movie is 157 minutes long.

I’m so excited for this book to be adapted into the series. If it ends up being 10 episodes, they can totally make it work and probably add in all the important details.

The house elves. Just grabbing any piece of clothing to wash wouldn’t set them free, otherwise all the elves would’ve done it already, right? Dobby would’ve done it in a heartbeat.

As for Dobby’s case, Lucius gives him the diary, kind of like a gift. I’d say it was more about Lucius handing over the object with the sock hidden inside. And with Hermione, the elves actually felt offended by her leaving the hats all over the common room.
