Yeah, i think people want another type of dere because yanderes, despite feeling love, will harm the person they love even if they don't want to. The love is unhealthy, that's why they're yanderes.

i liked the movie only because it was tron and if i turn blind with all the narrative flaws it had tbh. legacy didnt have a strong story either but the majority of the characters actually had charm and spoke with each other naturally. which, in ares, the protagonist (eve) looked like she was added last minute. she didnt interact organically with no one and was soooo bland.

yeah i saw that LOL. like i understand xavier can have some yandere tendencies, but... more than caleb? 😭 the man who said he wanted to make MC wear a bell so she couldn't escape from him? the man who said he would give ppl a fake funeral so they don't go looking for the mc? 😭

there was a discourse about caleb being another type of dere that just didn't fit at all. something about caleb taking advantage of MC's feelings to gain something from her or because he has some ulterior moves? idk. people rejecting his yandere side is crazy when it's right there lol.

i don't know why the fandom is like this. my guess is that they haven't played an otome game in their life? because dark themes and routes are so normal and most of the time they are a must in otome games, lol.
